Asking everywhere for those that have or currently do own the 10" rack..

Have you found clearance issues if/when you use Rotopax or Maxtrax on the side your RTT unfolds? Meaning, do you have to take them off before you setup your RTT?

From the pictures it seems that you can move the accessory bars maybe 1-2" lower? I wonder if this helps gain a bit more clearance.

 

I haven't had any issues however I mount the tent so the ladder goes off of the back of the truck, not the side. I like the 10" for some added security with my gear in the bed, I use Plano Sportsman Trunks and they're 14" tall so they can't be pulled out when we're hiking/biking. When I had a Smittybilt RTT it was mounted directly to the cross bars but the Yakima has it's own system so I added the Thule feet and load bars from my topper. Loved the set up but moving on with one of the stainless steel toppers so this must go

I have no problem taking it apart and shipping. It was shipped to me in 2 boxes, I assume to cut down on costs, and I can do the same. Best bet would be to pay via PayPal then I'll box, measure and weigh and you can use/pay for the carrier of choice and just email me the shipping label. If that works for you I'm happy to do it. Also just added the 4.5' Tepui awning to the package for an even $600 if you're interested.
