So I got it to grab a couple of threads. The bolt is now bending as I tighten it. The rear holes to the rear mount are off a bit. And now the bed rail is slightly pulling away at the bottom.

I'm wondering if my press operator didn't put the bend in the right place.

Regardless, of what the issue is, I'll get you taken care of.

That would be the easiest option. If not I'll just send him a new one overnight.

Well I can't get the bolt back out now. So are you gonna send me out a new rear mount overnight? Here is a pic side by side

Try putting a towel over it for better grip before you try the channel locks.

As you can see I got the back volt out. Looks cross threaded now. Here is a pic of them flat. One has a bend one doesn't

The front piece is designed to have a 88° angle, vs a 90° angle.

It's an awesome product just a hiccup. Mr. Voodoo is going to make it right though

Probably that rear bracket was made to be used on Chad's thinner steel bedside caps, not the OEM thicker plastic caps.

There is a set of holes for my side rail caps, and for the factory caps, in each piece.

I think this was just a fabrication error. I'm going to test fit my inventory tonight, and get a good one out to him in the morning.

In the mean time, I'll stress the importance of putting the bend in the right place to my brake press operator.

Are those notches supposed to be where the bend is? If so, that bend appears correct.

I think the bend is fine but the holes need be lowered it appears. Just glad if it is a defect, it was caught early. No harm done he is sending a new one overnight.

Once I get home and put the factory cap back on, all will be clear.
