    Honeycomb composite sleeper platform.
Axle is not that difficult to remove in comparison. If it was anodized it would be a bit easier. Since the bearings seat directly with the axle the cups are free when the axle is removed. The fork is a custom truss fork with 110 mm spacing for the axle. The 25mm axle really makes for a stiff yet compliant fork. Getting the hubs bearing preload set is the most difficult part.

Little bit of flex in a bike mount is actually desirable when bouncing around off road. If it is to rigid the stress gets transferred into the magnesium fork legs. I have seen a few crack and fail with old school Yakima racks.

Looks like the price will be $115 without a fork mount, or $135 with a fork mount (plus shipping).

Do you have a pic of this rubber belt/buckle? Currently using tie down straps on for the rear wheels on the bed bars and i hate it.

Neat idea, looks like it should work with a Softopper

this is cool. This would solve a concern I had with regards to having an RTT over my bed all summer long.

AWESOME! If it works with an Extang Solid Fold; sold! I think it will if you move the fork mount out a little farther (looks like you're going to add 1/2"). Will you be offering one for the passenger side as well?

It is a great idea. I like the idea of being able to easily load/offload the bike and still have plenty of room for gear in the bed.

The only question I have is how stable is the fork mount when you turn and create torque on the mount? Will the bike lean or move side to side?

I don't see why it would be any less stable/secure as any other fork-mount system...?

Any chance of a lock for security?

I'm bumping it out another 1.5" to make sure the handlebar won't hit a softopper, should anyone use it with one.

It will work on either side of the truck. I didn't want to force people into buying a left and a right.

There will be a package deal if someone wants two.

They make locking fork mounts. That can be an option.

It will sway a little bit, but nothing crazy. The revised prototype is being made today. I'm going to mount it up and bomb down the shittiest roads I can find to see how much it moves.

Thanks! I need a set of those. Where can i order those if you don't mind me asking? On their site, they only list the 25' version.

I really liked the Quick Fist, but it would jack the price way up.

And for some weird reason, I like the color. Should look good against the black powder coat.

Whats the weight limit? I run a downhill bike when I am out 4 wheeling and this would be a great solution for maximum bed capacity! However my dh bike ~50lbs and would this be stable enough to 4 wheel with?

A locking fork mount does no good if it is attached to a mountaing device that is held on by such easily removable knobs. You could run a cable lock to a d-ring on the bed floor or something, that would slow down a would-be theif a little bit.

Would subbing one or both of the knobs on the front to either something with lockable capabilities or that would require a special tool, like a torx bit, be possible?

    I really dig the idea.

This is god damn genius. I currently have a cap on my truck but will strongly consider this product when I get my 2016! Props to the creator and fabricators.
