    Hate to hear that you guys found the bedrail caps not economically viable to produce. I like your design. I am curious if a bedrail cap could be made with two trapezoid-shaped extensions that extend out off of the bed to the outsides of each side of the truck, that would support a person's weight? The application would be to put these bedrail caps under a camper shell and be able to stand on the trapezoids to aide in loading gear on the roof of the shell.

    With the curved bedsides of the 3rd gen, an extension beyond the edge of the bed (like on the 2nd gen ones) could not easily be stamped out of a single piece of metal. The "skirt" would have to be welded on, increasing the price even more.

    I've been on the list of disappointed 3rd gen owners since I bought mine in 2017 and was waiting fitting on a LB truck with cash in hand.

    I hear you. I'm thinking about moving up to a Tundra next year, since it's looking like I might not be commuting 30 miles one way any more. I'll probably attempt what I mentioned above on a double cab Tundra.
