This kit "tricks" the Head unit and backup camera into thinking the vehicle is in reverse whenever you flip the switch.

It can be activated ANYTIME, or even all the time.

This kit is especially handy because it has the ability to activate the reverse camera without triggering the reverse lights. The reverse camera and lights still work as normal while shifting the vehicle to Reverse.

Useful for towing, or anytime you want to see what's happening behind you.

Installs in 1 hour or less (requires tapping of wires).

    Kit Includes:
    • OEM Style Switch
    • Tacoma Specific Wiring Harness
    • Detailed Step by Step Instructions
    Price is $75

You never replied to my PM. I had a gift for you (it's not a front cam mod).

Pictures and instructions look very familiar to a kit I saw being sold previously on here hmm..

You guys don't have any plans on offering a "plug and play kit" just like this one? This will avoid tapping into the wires behind the radio.

We bought the kits from the original seller. Keeping up with demand was getting tough for him, so we took it on.

We may at some point, but installation of this kit is so easy, it may not be worth the extra expense.

I like the idea of plug and play, not interested in the illuminated switch

Woot, waiting for you to come out with kit that adds front camera and ability to switch between front and rear anytime! That would be a huge game changer and generate much want!

It's not the level of difficulty it could be installing this kit, maybe not tapping/splicing into oem harness may be worth the extra expense to some people, imo of course.

No doubt, lots of people aren't comfortable cutting or splicing wires, and we definitely DO NOT recommend those wire tap things. They don't work.

But if you're comfortable cutting wires, this is the kit for you.

Is there a way to see the instructions before buying it, just to see how hard or easy it will be to do?

To be totally honest, it's not really valuable unless you tow.

When I haul parts to our shop from the powder coater, I really like to keep an eyeball on the load, and this makes that possible.

I don't tow all the time but I am in the process of looking for a boat to buy so soon I'll be towing a little more often.

It's nice to able to look back and make sure everything is where it's supposed to be.

I don't tow and still use mine all time.

I'm not sure how this kit works, but if you don't want to cut your harness (I didn't want to either) you can buy this kit and the adapter harness. That just extends your stock stuff and you splice into that thing.
