Does the door have to fold over to open the drawers or can it lay flush? Can it be made in a fold-up config instead of fold down?

The door folds down, and the drawers pull out.

Yeah, my question was if I used this in a different config than you have it. Like mounting it directly to the bed instead of the bedrails, will the drawers hit the latch if the door can't fold the whole way down?

Sorry for so many questions, but would you know how much space there is between the bedrail on a Tacoma and the box?

On a DCSB, could this be used in conjunction with a bakflip f1 and the voodoo premium bed rack? I see the bed racks are sold out - any plans on bringing them back? I'd buy both in a heartbeat.
