This is true. However it's not the whole picture. The gm bailout was two parts. The loan that was paid back with interest like said. GM also ran tv adds saying this as well. The other part of the bail out was the government receiving a large portion of stock in the new GM in return for the other portion of bailout money. This was not technically a loan because the government received the ownership position in the new company. The government ended up selling off that position at a loss of $11 billion or so. Taxpayers were not made whole with interest on the gm bailout like everyone likes to think.

I was merely pointing out a fact, they all suck and I don't take any particular side. Nice to see you think that way though.

If I had no intentions to ever go off road, I'd buy a Canyon. But the Tacoma simply blows it out of the water on off road performance and aftermarket support.

Tell me about it. This seems like a generation thing. I have a 38 year old nephew who has not worked any place in the past 14 years. He lives at home with his freeloading mom. So dude is offered a bus driving job with one of the best transportation companies in the states. The job offered him health care dental 401k annual and sick leave , tons of overtime, pension account, and start him off with 15.00 per hour. Oh and by the way his salary grows every 18 to 24 months.

He goes through the two week training course and they offer him the job. They provided him a checklist of things to do as a bus driver. Safety check, assist the disabled,, and other minor things.

This fuc@@@ dude shares the checklist with his mom and they came to the conclusion that this was too much work and turned down the job. SAY WHAT. What the hell is wrong with people now a days. You would rather live off your mom SS and unemployment
This generation amazes the hell out of me. Two weeks ago this dude try to hit me up for a loan so he can start an at home internet business. No thank you I will pass

Another thing I noticed with this review was the stereo on the Colorado was glitchy and slow. The only complaint that they had was that it didn't have car play. Which is something I am happy to live without as long as everything works as intended.

Sir you need to get your head out of your aZZ. I can't believe you made such a statement. No one gets hungry...we get free medical

Sir I don't know where you live but you need an reality check my friend. There are plenty people going hungry right here in the nations Capitol. I see it every day not to mention people living out here in the streets with babies I can go on and on about hunger.

Let's talk about this free medical care. Nothing is free sir. Let's get pass the free medical and focus on the quality of medical and health care fraud in this country. The quality of health care in our country is not something to be proud of. I think the whole medical system is nothing more than a big SCAM.

Please come back to earth sir

I just came into the mid-size truck market last month. Last rig was Megacab ram with cummins. After reading the Colorado forums, I thought for sure I was getting one. Looked at three in person, hundreds online, and test drove one. They all sucked. Of the three I looked at, rusted frames, bad sensors, effed up paint, SLOW, exhaust leak; really nothing but issues from what I could see. These were all 09s. First taco we looked up, 05 double cab with 101k miles on it, we purchased. There really is no comparison between thesets two trucks.

I would agree for those years, but you are comparing previous gens. Careful about bringing up rusted frames haha I think newest gens of tacoma and twins are nice trucks. Think if you offroad a bunch the tacoma is the clear choice

You're right, we need to wait another two years to see how much the new ones suck :p . Toyota mostly owns up to their issues in regards to the rusted frames. My 05 hasn't had the recall done, and is rust free. The colorados also lack any stain resistance, so the interiors are nasty.
As the guy mentioned in the video about resale, there's a reason people like myself pay $17k for a 11 year old taco and turn up half newer colorado for less than half the price.

Well, you missed the entire point of my post. I was talking about how our ratio of quality of life to tax burden is the envy of the world, but apparently you read something else.

I never said "we get free medical". I said "no one is denied medical care"; surely you can see how these are not equivalent statements. If you show up at any ER in the country with a bloody headwound, they will treat you regardless of whether you have money or insurance. If you don't pay it'll ruin your credit score, but they won't deny care.

What about the health care for illegals in this country. You think the car about a credit score Here is my point sir someone's got to pay for this free shit. I wonder how much was your tax bill this year. By your pervious statements I can assume you got a tax refund
Now you can go out a buy new tires and wheels for your taco.

I am a newbie but the answer is KBB couldn't be more wrong in their off road evaluation. A 3:42 cannot hold a candle to the taco's 3:91in off road usefulness.
Bottom line vote Cruz if you like offroading!

All nonsense aside for anyone who actually pays attention and thinks for themselves, is that the damage from the Bush years will be hurting us for a long time to come.

I am a Republican, but not being clueless to the facts available happens to be a 'strength' of mine. You can't start wars and give tax cuts. Even an imbecile can do that math...

Not sure which Bay Area you're referring to, but I bought a manual and I'm from SF Bay Area. Not originally, but still...

Don't worry about the fact that the traffic is so bad it takes me 1 hr to go 10 miles on 101.

They also said something about high speed off roading with obstacles. Not sure why anyone would race through off road terrain unless it's a closed course or there were jumps with transitions.

Any off roading (besides driving through snow on a know trail) I have done would be slow speed to get over obstacles. As opposed to 4wd donuts or what not.
