Is anyone running the KBVoodoo Max Modular bedrack(the 58” size), on a long bed Tacoma, with the factory Tonneau cover? If so, I have some questions for ya.

I have the 46 inch on a short bed with a DB cover? That's kinda close?

@CoTacos Im more looking to make sure the 58” with the tonneau brackets will work for the OEM tonneau cover

They have a list on their website: https://www.max-modular.com/tonneau-cover-fitment-guide

It does say the 16+ OEM cover will work though! Heads up tonneau cover brackets will raise your rack 2.5 inches.

    Thanks @CoTacos!

Does your KBVoodoo rack sit more on your DB cover, or is the weight all on the tonneau brackets? I’m wondering how sturdy they are

It sits pretty darn close to the DB cover. In fact looks like it is sitting on it but I'm like 90% sure the cover isn't taking any load at all. The brackets themselves seem to have held up the last month I've had them. I have a 180 lbs RTT on it (14 inch rack so lots of weight up high) driving around pretty aggressively (read like an ass) and I haven't noticed any creaking, movement, or loosening of bolts. I also spent the night in the RTT moving and shifting around and felt 100% secure the rack was fine.

I have the setup you referenced. The tonneau brackets take all the load and work with OEM tonneau. I have had mine for about a year and used it a lot. I have a 4-person RTT so when were all up there there’s quite a bit of weight. Also, no bed stiffeners and have not had any issues with the bedsides flexing out.
