Waiting for “we have found a new powder coat company and these issues are no longer a concern,” to turn into “we have found a new manufacturing and design company and these issues are no longer a concern.”

I have to continue to vouch for KB Voodoo. These notifications for this thread are coming up like crazy. I want to post my conversation with them from a while ago, absolutely professional and fast, refunded immediately. I have no affiliation but I have to say my piece, they did well with me:

It’s a brief, curt and to the point email. If they had no record of your contact then there is no reason to apologize or make excuses. Not everyone needs to suck up to their customers every time. I don’t say that as a KB Voodoo fan, I’m 50/50 on product quality from them. My older stuff is way higher quality than the new stuff.

Agreed. It doesn’t matter either way, if your subcontracted painting work sucks. Even worse when you try to pretend it’s not a problem.

I have had the tail gate cap on for a few years now. There are several spots where the coating got scraped or knocked off due to hard use and showed rust. Putting ramps on the tailgate and moving dirt/rocks from bulk loads have worn on the part. I consider it a normal "wear and tear" impact problem. I "solved" the issue by using a rust converter and then spot coating with spray paint. The tailgate cap has done its job. I would much rather have a dinged cap than a bent tailgate! It's a truck, afterall.

This. My tailgate cap had peeling edges out of the shipping box. I don't think there is a single edge with PC left, and then actually face of the cap is scratched due to use (which is normal).

Buying bare products would have solved his issue a long time ago, but Chad refuses. I liked the function of my tailgate cap, but it's not worth rust streaking down my white paint.

I'm just glad it was only a tailgate cap, and not a full on bed rack that I'm out a ton of money on.

We tried for a while. They never sold. Wasn’t worth our time, money being held up or shelf space being held up on a product that sold one or two sets a month so we killed them and focused on other parts that could be created or improved upon.

What was the outcome of this situation? im 20 pages behind and if someone was nice enough to quickly catch me up thatd be great. I work in customer service and find these situations very useful.

... only asking because i started scrolling myself and found nothing but cat pictures??? lol this site is out of control.
