Hey guys I am looking for some help here I have a need to replace my meso dome light with a larger tube mount light. I had the MESO ultimate dome light before and just used those pigtails to power my KC cyclone.
I hooked up the positive and negative as it should be, the light works however it stays on. It tries to dim for a moment then continues to stay on regardless of switch position. Obviously it’s getting some voltage…. How would one fix this?

The meso light had some sort of driver board thing you can try and use that to control the KCs.

The dome light is "ground switched" in these trucks. The metal base of the KC Cyclones actually make ground and will stay on once you hook up a positive. Try unplugging your ground wire on the Cyclone. If it stays on, that's your problem. You will need to find a way to isolate the base of the light from your mounting solution. Good luck!

Then how do my cyclones ground to a plastic housing of the MESO 3rd brake light. My cyclones have a positive and negative wire. Did they get rid of the ground wire?

They still have a positive and negative wire. Your third brake light should ground through the wire, then get 12v when you press the brakes. The dome light has constant 12v and the switch and dimmer make ground contact to complete the circuit. If you allow the base of the Cyclone to come in contact with metal it will ground through the base as well. That is only a problem when you are ground switching it like OP is with the dome circuit. I hope I explained that properly haha.

This is awesome. I’m going to try this out in the morning and report back?
