After a little DIY alignment to get me through the weekend the lady friend was begging for some much needed lake time. We went out to Pyramid with our pup and found a decent secluded beach past the ‘road closed’ signs :spy:

After two hours or so we decided to explore a little more since we had a tired dog and plenty of daylight left. I brought my entire toolbox with us to check everything on the beach before we went any further. After that we had wide open dirt roads. And we went fast. And when a lady who doesn’t give two shits about truck stuff goes ‘wow this is smooth’ you know it’s definitely worth it. It was awesome, I was smiling ear to ear just mobbing. And then we found another how Spring to soak our legs while the pup slept. All in all Long Travel is great, dogs are great, and Nevada is great. Couldn’t ask for a better weekend. Hopefully some high res pics soon too!

Like I said King basically told me to kick rocks but Downsouth was on it with getting me the right ones so I’d contact wheelers first and see if they have any they can send you. For me it wasn’t too bad swapping them while it was on the truck because it kept everything from trying to rotate while I was compressing the springs. I had to back preload all the way off to get enough space in between the spring coils to fit my compressor.

Side note: Bora Wheel Spacers customer service sucks. Holy shit show. Ordered on 5/4 and was told 7-10 business days. Called them on 5/24 (14 business days) and was told they were being anodized and should be done tomorrow 5/25 and they’d let me know since I was going to pick them up. Didn’t hear anything from them. Called again on 6/5 and they said they were done and sitting there, but no one ever let me know they were done. So I asked if they could just ship them since I was out of town. They said sure no problem. I get home from work on 6/9 and they aren’t there. Seems strange since it’s a local company and they had 3 full days to ship them. So I called again today 6/11 and he said he forgot to tell them to ship them. I said fuck it I will just come get them.

25 business days later. Doesn’t seem like much but when that’s x2.5 longer than what you’re quoted it’s a little frustrating. And super frustrating when I could have gotten spacers through 4WP next business day but decided to support local.

That they are. I just hope fitment is perfect after seeing a 5 lug Tacoma in the LT BS thread get the wrong bolt pattern after waiting weeks.

Both my orders for my 85 were fine. You do have to stay on them. I called every 4 days for an update. They also give a discount if you catch them on the right day. $95 is what I paid if I remember correctly.

Having seen their operation, I get it. Its a company that is run by non business types that has gotten pretty big. Having someone in there to manage the office, handle logistics, etc. would go a long way.

Damn maybe I’ll try to get a discount then haha. That’s kind of what I’ve heard, I’m interested to see the place later today when I go get them. But good to know I’m not the only one whose had to bug them constantly.

Funny story i just remembered. Last summer i was rushing to get my truck up and running. I ordered a set from them and asked if he could expedite them. After a week i realized i wasnt going to finish my truck stuff in time so i said F it. I never heard from them regarding my order. Like ever. For that set it was as if I never even called them. Good thing I wasn't counting on them.

Alignment done, wheels and tires on, just need to trim some on the fronts because backing out of @RelentlessFab there were some crunchy noises

And of course had to do an impromptu gram shot with @Project Recon :drunk:
