No problem. FYI I have some front Bilstein 5100's with 885 coils you could borrow instead of that spacer lift....

I will one million percent take you up on that! I was looking at getting those instead but it would just be spending more money in preparation for spending more money haha

Got some loaner shocks put on thanks to Eric. Crazy how something that took me 9+ hours to install only took 2 to remove and replace. I learn the importance of tie rod pullers versus hammers too. Ended up cutting off a few threads on one because I smashed it too bad with a hammer and couldn’t chase the threads with a file. The 5100/885 combo actually gave me another half inch up front over the BP51s o_O now I just need to sell and replace :spending:

Got my rear shocks ordered, getting the fronts ordered Friday hopefully. My BAMF rear shock relocate kit arrived the day after I ordered which was rad. After I spent a wonderful Easter driving to Vegas for 20 minutes of unloading and loading then straight back to Reno I decided to treat myself to some @ARCHIVE hammer hangers because 18 an hour shift constitutes a reward right? :boink:

Changed my rear diff oil at 500 miles after getting the new gears and 1) that shit is stinky 2) there was quite a bit of metal on the magnet which I guess is to be expected 3) doing it while it was super windy was a mistake, I got covered in oil haha. While I was down there I relocated my rear diff breather to behind the taillight. Super simple for a little piece of mind.

And while doing all this my pressure washer and Chemical Guys kit showed up so I’m hoping to give the truck a proper wash tomorrow!

OME BP51 kit is sold, hoping to get the front King’s shipped this week and then just wait on parts for the rear :transformer:

I’m pumped. I’m super nervous about doing the rear shock relocation but it’ll be a fun learning experience haha. What are you gunna run for bump stops?! I was looking at getting Kings for those as well but didn’t see anyone offering a mounting system for Tacoma’s.

I'm running timbrens right now but I want hydro bumps. I contacted bajakits for a quote on their mounts and kings. Now I know what I need to save. Total chaos makes a mount also. You have to drill out the frame rivets. I just did my archive shackles and drilling them out sucks. I wish i had a torch. Only thing about hydro is I would need to figure out how to charge them with nitrogen. There aren't any offroad shops near me.

I’ll have to hit them up and see. I saw a lot of people say the rivets are a bitch so I was going to do it all at my works shop so I have a plasma torch. I didn’t realize they didn’t come pre charged so that’s good to know. I might just save that money for 35s though. Who knows :help:

35s are cheap depending on what you get. I was contemplating falken wildpeak m/t. Under $1000 for/4. I'm sure @RelentlessFab knows a few places to get your bumps charged. They don't come precharged so that way you can adjust to your setup.

You can always have custom weld on tabs made to the bump cans. Probably an easier route. If you are running a ubolt flip you'll need these plates. I plan on going with these and selling my entire timbren setup. That isn't planned for a while though since I'm waiting for my bumper to be finished and saving money for powdercoat.

Yeah there’s a lot of options and the company we get our work truck tires through can hook me up with General and Falken so I might go that route.

I have a ton of different sized pipe at work that I can use so maybe I’ll look into that more.

You’ve gotta swing through the area around July so @Project Recon, you, and I can take a turd gen patriotic pic!

DO IT FOR THE GRAM MIKE!
