Do you find the handle blocking your view or visually distracting, or do you just get used to it and just not notice it anymore?

For the first few days, it’s in your face but a week later it just disappears.

Right after she finishes tightening the upper bolt (4:05), she tugs on the handle and the whole handle/cover assembly moves.
    Does not seem secure.

There is a reason KDJO is banned on this site, and the other thread got shut down for leaning towards supporting this product.

My V1 has been in use for about 18 months. It's still secure.

The video K T JO made is of the V2. I do not have that one. So, I dont's know about "loose" or otherwise, pdxTacoSR5. I have the V1 and, like DES2009, mine is secure and is as good in function and appearance had mf'n Toyota included it to begin with. And K T J O (not KDJO) being "banned" from TW, speaks more about TW than it does that small business which is the only company that offers it. Moreover, the whole Tacoma World is a hobbyist dream (or nightmare) with hundreds of add-ons costing a fortune. (take a look at Tacomabeast). Not-so-arguably is the Driver-side grab handle such a necessary part and it's currently only $100. And, btw, I just confirmed Friday 10/28 it's still IN STOCK.

You will get used to it. Coming from the 2nd gen, I’m used to it. It doesn’t block your view anymore then the pillar itself.

I bought and installed a V1 model in my truck. As expected, the install was a mild pain, but doable. No issues aside from getting the screw covers to stay in place. A little double-sided 3m tape fixed that issue.

FWIW A lot of folks had issues with getting the bolt into the upper hole on V1 version without cross threading. I have built and worked on cars for years and I'll admit it was a bit of a challenge for me. I think that they made the V2 since so many folks had problems with that bolt. I have had my V1 installed for over a year and I am still really happy with it. No issues. I also installed the KTJO rear grab handles which was no issue. I really like them and my shorter passengers appreciate them.

Small lift, slightly oversized tires, well...
Had my doubts for a long time...really wanted to buy but the early problems kept me away. Well, seeing that the shipping issues seemed to be behind her, I pulled the trigger on Sunday. It arrived UPS today. Took about 20 minutes to install in the dark. Yes, the upper bolt was a PITA to get started. I pulled the assembly back some and looked the bolt into the threads. Once started, I worked it into position and tightened it down. The little clip nut works well once pinched a little with a Channel-Locks, making sure the holes align will make your life easier.

This handle is the goods. While I could get out pulling on the steering wheel, the handle is in a much better position.

Does anyone make a grab handle for the passenger side, that goes above the window?
