If that’s something that is possible.

Would it be easier to do it in person.

Well today we went back to the rollers with @TWTaco ‘s truck using @PapaRee ‘s KD Performance tune. Last time we used my truck using 33” M/T’s and while the performance numbers were good... using stock tires was great!

Stock and OVTune 2.0 seemed to have the power dip at about 5300 RPM, and KD Performance has a pretty linear power curve all the way up to the 6300 RPM fuel cut that’s built into Toyota’s software.

All tunes were using the premium 91+ octane maps!

    Stock put down 233 WHP
    OVTune 2.0 w/THX 240 WHP
KD Performance 270 WHP +37 Over Stock!

Rooky question, If you Get the 91 tune and fill with 87, is the truck going to run worse? And or do you just not get the same Gains as you would with filling with 91?

You dont want to run 87 on a 91 tune!
You will have pinging and lose the performance.
If for some reason you cant find 90-91-92-93 octanes then you could run 87 to get you to a station with 91.
But dont run it long term.
The 87 tune runs very strong if your on the fence on what octane to run.
91 just runs best for the performance.
Really comes down to personnel choice

I also run the 87 tune and use 91 octane just in case i cant find 91 when away from home.
Truck does perform stronger on 87 tune and 91 oct.

Hey all, I'm definitely interested. Couple questions though:
    1. With the K&D Custom tune on 87 octane, do you guys see any difference in fuel economy + or - ?
    2. If there's some reason I have to take my truck into the dealer, will this tune automatically void any warranties? (not that I think I have one at 39k miles)
    3. Does this fix the laggy shifting and randomly sluggish response to give more linear power instead of feeling like it's hunting for gears?
    4. Do I need to go to the dealer and make sure the latest TSB has been flashed to my ECU beforehand?

    Thanks guys!

    1. We do not guarantee better MPG's but most report back improved MPG's.
    2. The tune is undetectable. ECU will read OEM calibrations.
    3. You will be blown away with Shifting/ Response /Power! YES.
    4. We can update your ECU to current ECU free with purchase of tune.

Hope to see you on tune day 4-17!
