KDmax Blackhawk Tune.

Driving this truck after the tune I must say it it the best thing that you can possibly due for your 3rd generation Tacoma. I found a local tuner in metro Atlanta to do it. Stormpeacock check him out....

 

Hrmmm? Did Kd partner with blackhawk down? Maybe the two combined will result in positive horse power gains.

 

@Stormpeacock offers KD and Nexus tunes. And please, lets be adults here...

 

Could you elaborate why? Did you have a tune before this one?

 

Not shure as to your reply. I'm new to this Toyota tune stuff. I come from a Exotic car background as far as TUNING goes. Pretty much the the Yoda stuff is the same give or take across the tuning spectrum for the 3rd gen. For the money as again speaking from a High end Exotic technican.. you cannot beat it on price point.

Main reason I ask is Im thinking about doing the KD max tune to mine. Im happy with my truck except the way it shifts.

 

I have the KDMax tune, I’ve had it for about a year and a half now and I absolutely love how the truck drives. The shift points from the factory drove me insane, the KDMax tune totally fixed that issue. I highly recommend it.

 

You will be very happy with the way your truck will preform after the software tune..

If you’re experiencing the low rpm and highest possible gear combined with the 6-4-5 highway dance, then KDMax 9.0 will make that a thing of the past. Git ‘er done!

gotta clarify here, you got the Blackhawk tune — which was a collab between Yotawerx and Nexus Tuning.

KDMax is a different tune from a different network.

It is criminal this shitty tune they ship from the factory. KDMax and dont look back!

 

I've had all three tune packs on my truck KDmax, OTT and Blackhawk with the latest revisions. The blackhawk tune is what stays on my truck, smoothest and best feeling tune for my M/T. I drive about 850 miles a week so each tune got the same treatment. The problem is the fan boys saying their tune is the best when they tried one or no other tunes. Of course they are all better than stock but after that there's pretty drastic differences in smoothness and power across the powerband. Blackhawk FTW. If you ask why I bought all three? I wanted to see the hype of each one, and I have enough play money to do it.

 

A rarity. Who was your OTT tuner? Who was your kd tuner?

I bought the vf tuner cable and did it myself, it's easy.

I have no interest in 'performance' gains in a Tacoma, but the automatic transmission definitely benefits from a tune.

I'm not sure any one tune is really superior to another, but I have an OTT and am happy with the results.
