Looking forward to it. I expect pro-XT will make gains vs stock, but it won’t be the 29/29 HP/TQ published. Not saying it’s a bad tune, I’m saying there is bad data being presented.

All of our Dyno runs have been performed on my truck. All previous and current dyno runs we ran different stock files and have had the same consistent lean out on the stock runs.
When we do our next dyno run it will be on an all stock truck.

My truck definitely doesn't like the stock tune!!:rofl:

Not sure why you’d publish tune data from a truck that produces poor results on a stock file, but hey, it’s your party…

I will work with a local shop to provide that as @TWTaco has a truck that is showing some problematic issues stock. Since we are asking nicely for things, could you please stop using the KDMAX name to bounce to your site that was lost when you left the KDMAX Pro tuning group? http://kdmaxtuning.com/ is going to https://toyotatuningnetwork.com/

The tuners in TTN do not own the rights to the name. If the creators of KDMax do not allow the use of their name to be used to redirect to the TTN website, then it should be taken down as it violates intellectual property laws.

Ok well I was running OTT lite throttle and it was good. Ran way better than stock. Well today I downloaded Kdmax pro+XT lite throttle and went to pick up my new motorcycle. First impressions are that this tune (to me) is better. The lite throttle is super smooth, shifts great and seems to hold gears better. With OTT I had to use S mode for hwy because in D it would still down shift at slight inclines and had to give a bit more throttle to hold speed. The Kdmax tune I ran in D and going up hill only required small throttle input to hold speed and yes it did downshift to 5th but it still didn’t require as much throttle. So far I like it better. JMO YMMV

Great thread on these tunes. I will say that OTT has awesome customer service! Justin and John were very quick to answer all my questions (emails/phone) and helped me fix a problem I encountered while flashing my new Pro.
I’ve only had the tune for a couple days and so far the truck drives great! Smooth shifting and quicker acceleration.

Running KDMAX Pro+XT for several days now. Being tuned in one way or another since the initial OVTune product release, I can say this is the best tune I've ever driven!

I'm really digging Ott they have me back to stock mpgs when I'm conservatively driving and I have the power wear I need it . I too have been testing tunes to the moon and back figuratively speaking. So far they have been able to pin the donkey for me . Kdmax has the power I like. Kdmax just wasn't hitting the numbers I needed for mileage on my long daily commutes . I sit at 5400 lbs with stock gears and 315/75/16s . I just did a trip up the Olympic peninsula yesterday and with the coast being so up and down I still got over 18mpg with Ott 7.0 . I have to run premium octane fuel with my heavy truck . I've been recently trying regular octane and was getting crap numbers on my fuel mileage. 1/4 tank on 87 octane was barley getting 100 miles . With premium I get 145 miles or more on a 1/4 tank. Another note with regular octane , my truck felt doggy . I ran 4 tanks of regular and results were terrible. Again will have to see reviews with peps running premium so I can get a better understanding . If my truck was stock, yeah I could see using regular gas . I'm far from stock. Your very correct sir . I was a firm kdmax user until I had a taste of OTT 7.0 and got better results all around in my driving experience . Again gonna wait see what Tacoma owners say about this updated version of kdmax .
