You all are missing out if you don’t try OTT. KD Bro-XT can’t touch these numbers or the drive-ability of OTT.

Yeah I've been following along. these guys are really hitting outta the park they both are putting out great products. When I flashed Ott 7.0 it made my daily commute more enjoyable experience. I'd thought damn this was making my commute a breeze. The power was in every area I needed it. The mpgs were up . Drivability was up .

Then came out kdmax pro+XT and once again I was taking away by the work they preformed . Where I was happy with Ott 7.0 , kdmax surpassed those areas I spoke above . Shaking my head, where and the hell these guys pulling this performance from . Squeezing blood from a turnip. I get blasted away from these updates . Best part for me is pumping out reviews . When time comes I would love to try the new OTT 8.0 . For now I'm really satisfied if not really content with kdmax pro+XT. As vf tuner opens more access to our tacomas these tunes are constantly gonna get better. What would be outta this world is if these tuners would get together and take all their experience , combine their knowledge to make the last tune forever.

Yeah not many customers from nexus have really chimed in this tune challenge . Not sure if it's something they really care about . Again as long as vf tuner keeps releasing updates for our 3rd gens , tuners are gonna be staying busy refining there work .

The thread stipulates KD and OTT so you aren't likely to see many YWNexus reviews

It's in the process of rolling out to first some of the networked tuners who have customers very soon, where if the older tune was released they'd then need to potentially coordinate an updated tune session very soon, so it's convenient to help them out. There are some random remote customers of convenience who have it as well.

Still building full tune packs though, for all the various tune variants due to drivetrain adjustments available.

Well who ever is in charge of the thread might consider throwing nexus in the mix . Who's for it . I am. Let's turn the heat up in here . Put nexus in the thread title .

I'm not interested in chasing upgrades or testing multiple tunes, but I just got upgraded to KDmax pro xt from whatever I had before and big difference. I might try OTT someday, but getting tuned and re-tuned isn't very easy when I have to schedule time with my not-so-local tuner. If I had the gear to do this myself it might be fun, but in reality I just want a driveable truck. Time will tell, but so far I'm happy with the XT upgrade.

That's the big issue for us that can tune ourselves . Being somewhat of a gear head / techy/ redneck lol I wanted the ability to tune as tunes got updated or more refined. As technology advances there is always gonna be something better. As i sit here thinking about guys like yourself and others , man this shits gonna get expensive after awhile . To me it's not about the money no more . It's experiencing constant improvements to the drivability to our tacomas. These tuners just make shit happen. Before we know it our tacomas are gonna disappear into a black hole lmao.

If you're content with what you have and you're not interested in chasing down various improvements, then there's no reason to not stick with it

Well, if there was a huge change it would probably be worth it, but hopefully the new KDmax solves the various annoyances I was having on the previous version I can be content.

Your right on that. I was saying I was addicted to tuning but now I reframe from saying that and it's all about the experience and to get the experience out to Tacoma owners that have interest in tuning . Give them the best insight.

As someone who doesn't want to invest in a laptop/VF Tuner and doesn't live near a tuner, I feel like I might as well wait. Eventually KD Maxx Super Ultra Pro Final Edition Version 28 will come out.

The new tune is an absolutely massive overhaul.

But also as noted, if you're content with something and not trying to chase down each new option, it makes sense for people to stay with what makes them content and has their truck driving well.
