Can't speak to the OTT, but I just got the latest KDMax upgrade and it solved all my issues including pedal issues from stop.

I think you'll find the initial "hit" of acceleration will be a bit softer on OTT than what you're used too, without sacrificing response through the meat of the pedal range. Our latest files have paid particular attention to what you describe.

While we dyno'd the tune on 92 octane, the tune is configured for primarily 87 octane use.

Give it a try and let us know how it works out for you. Be sure to try our various throttle offerings.

    Franky,

If your tuner is coming to town why not try the new KDMAX Pro XT tune and the Lite throttle setting? Or go to a lite setting on the current tune?

A lot of people settle for a sports throttle to only find out later maybe it’s to much for their particular truck setups (heavy vs light). I’m on KDMAX Pro XT and normal throttle and find it to be all I need (stock set up).

The biggest reason for me is because he is no longer offering the KDMAX Tune, for whatever reason and is now offering the OTT. I actually emailed him to see if he was offering the KD MAX Pro tune to update me and told me he would be able to update me for a small fee with a new OTT. Ive always been pretty happy with KDMAX but lately ive been watching my passangers necks break so I was hoping to fix the thorttle issue.

I believe @Uscgamecock7 would be your KDMAX tuner. Give him a shout and see what you can work out.

I have tried Kdmax pro+XT and the OTT 7.0 . Both have different throttle settings and I find lite throttle on both tunes to be super smooth. I have tried the other throttle settings and they both are not as smooth as lite throttle. They still have the great shifting and have good TQ where you need it. JMO and observations. Can’t go wrong with either tune as they are miles ahead of the stock tune.

You will be fine they are octane learning tunes. Only time you should worry is if the tune is specific to premium fuel .

I'm trying the new updated Ott this week and so far I'm sure they are a step or two ahead of kdmax pro+ XT . I ran new kdmax for almost a couple weeks and it's a great tune . Good power , fuel mileage is getting better , and low end is a lot better . The updated Ott now they definitely stepped it up . Ott's shifting is smooth as ever, mpgs is where I was totally impressed . I'm seeing Ott's 6th gear holding better than kdmax . Kdmax would get into 6th gear but you apply the slightest throttle and seemed to want to jump right back to 5th . Overall these two tunes are doing a great job at refining . They are keeping it fresh and I swear every time you think one is better than the other someone has the better tune

I've had mine above 70/mph with ACC (Adaptive Cruise Control) and it loves to stay in 6th gear.

Of course, I'm in flatland Delaware but even cresting the long stretches of inclines...she stays in 6th gear.

Are the folks who tune their trucks doing it to the one and only vehicle they own, their daily driver?
