    @Boltripper

I checked the website and saw that you have a tune specifically for the 6mt. Would you mind expounding on some of the specifics for the manual here? I have a manual on order and am curious as to the possible benefits. I ask in the forum instead of a PM as there may be others interested as well.
    Thanks.

I had the KDMAX 6 tune installed by @Boltripper (John) back about a year ago on my old truck. And I’ll say he’s a professional and a gentleman! Spent all the time I needed to learn about the tune and tried out about 3 that day.

I know if you do choose to use him and his Tune I’m sure he’ll make you happy.

In fact it’s been my experience with John and Kreg @PapaRee you can’t go wrong!

Overland Tailor can be configured differently and I'm certain KD and others are also able. Please reach out to @Boltripper via PM to discuss your needs we'll be happy to accommodate your requests.

We do have a MT specific tune available. Without getting too specific into the calibration details, the Overland Tailor manual transmission tune brings all of the benefits we've worked into our Auto tune specifically to the MT calibrations (as they are unique). There are a few key things about the Overland Tailor tune that make it unique. I'll touch on those areas below, but fundamentally all tuners here working with the same tables/maps putting us at the mercy of the interface used to edit the code.
    1. Just like our Auto cal, we have made big improvements part throttle low end torque (not just more throttle) while also performing at higher load/RPM. This is one of the core features and design elements that we initially set out to achieve, and one we're most proud of.

    2. The calibration was developed specifically to maintain a controlled and predictable throttle that tracks consistently with pedal input to ensure there is no surging or dead spots. Like others, we also offer a variety of different throttle mapping configurations to suite your specific needs/tastes.

    3. Our MT trucks have consistent output regardless of gear.
Along with the above, we've massaged other areas of the calibration to ensure the driving experience is not only fun but safe. We encourage you to try the Overland Tailor calibration and other offerings. It's one thing for John (@Boltripper) or I to try and sell you on it, but it's the end user who ultimately needs to be happy. We're proud of our offering, but what matters most to us, is that the needs of the end user are met.

@JustDSM and @Boltripper are there any other tuners for your tune than just the two of you?

    Locations?

We do supply our files direct and are happy to do so. I'm going to have you speak with John @Boltripper for the business end of things. Please PM @Boltripper or send him an email at info@overlandtailor.com and he'll get you sorted.

You can get your tune direct from @Boltripper or through one of our 3rd part tuners. We have an interactive map of our authorized tuners here: https://overlandtailor.com/remote-tuning

I have a 6MT and originally had OVTune and while it was a big improvement over stock, my one complaint is that the throttle was too sensitive in 1st gear and required a bit of feathering the clutch for a smooth launch.

I now have the 6MT specific Coyoza tune and above problem is solved. Truck now drives with excellent throttle response in every gear.

To some extent, the tune you get may end up being determined by what tuner guys are available in your area.

I got the Overland Tailor Tune 7 last Sunday.
So far I'm loving it. Highway MPG is the same or close to it. City MPG I think took a 1 MPG hit.
Pedal has 0 dead zone now. Took awhile to get used to but great now.
I'll give it a month for a full review.

Are you coming from stock? or did you have a different tune loaded on before?

I got my first tune last week. OTT with medium throttle response. It's great. The truck drives like it should. I used to drive in S mode and limit the trans to 4 around the hills and 5 on the highway. Now I just leave it in drive and it's perfect. Should've done this 2 years ago!

thought you may be interested to know that the tune developer for Coyoza has been developing a new NA tune alongside his SC tune from Yotawerx. it's an improvement over Coyoza no doubt about it, and my favorite tune so far. still in testing, done very soon i think.

I got my OTT 7 tune for my 2022 taco two weeks ago, has driven about 1000km since then. The tune is absolutely great, especially the low end torque output, truck pulls a lot better in the low rmp. Shifting points are like normal cars now, no wierd jumping anymore. Smoother drive than before. I went with mild throttle, still better than stock but no touchy feeling whatsoever. Gas mileage remains the same, I drove mostly on hilly highway with 10% city, slightly oversized tires, right now is about 19.5mpg to 20.

I got the MT KDMax Pro, love it, puts a ton more power into 1st and 2nd - as well as even power across the subsequent gears, i haven’t tested it up in the mountains yet but I’m expecting it to hold 5 on the inclines at the very least. It’s zippy, I call it my race truck

also getting a little over 0.5 mpg better gas mileage

I don't have a KDMax tuner in my area so I ended up with the MT specific Coyoza tune and I am very happy with it.
