Just got my trucked tuned by @TacoNesian Honestly it’s a whole different truck. The drive down before the tune, I complained a lot about how my truck was performing. Heading back home after getting the LT Regular tune, hills were a breeze. No crazy downshifting when going uphill. I used to hate using cruise on hills, now it’s a cake walk. If there is only one mod I’d do to the truck it’d be this. No more complaining about shifting, lag, lack of power on hills or turning onto a different street. Now it just goes. The guys at KD max did a great job and Alex is a great guy and very easy to work with! Definitely recommend!

I forgot. Don't we have like 8 years in Calif. for a smog unless we sell ? If that's so lots can happen in that time.

We are trying to get a hold of the tuner. At tune events they can be swamped and not able to respond.

Apologies, but so much of these are hosted on FB/social media to make it easy for everyone.

I know someone asked about interest in a Chicago tuning meet a couple posts back and I am glad I didn't see it. I made the road trip up to Grand Rapids to see Michael (@sonhn317) and I am glad I did. He's a great dude (with a sweet truck) and took great care of me. If you are in driving distance and want a tune, hit him up!

Now, in terms of the tune, I am LOVING it so far. I used the trip as an excuse to head up to the Manistee National Forest for a little camping with my son. The responsiveness of the gas pedal was a little jerky in the stop-and-go construction traffic, but man this thing has come alive! I can't speak to the fuel economy yet, as I haven't really done any of my "normal" driving. I am LOVING it, though.

I'll update with any new observations that may pop up. Thanks again, Michael!

I just got this tune done on my new 2021, already getting ~0.4mpg better than I tended to average in the city, and I’m only ~40 miles into the new tune

will post another update once I’m 500miles in. The power is noticeably better. It felt like it added straight extra torque on the low end. How it accomplishes this without extra engine noise (I was expecting a higher revving engine but nope), and without a worse mpg is beyond me. But I guess that’s why I don’t work on cars

Very happy with the tune thus far, will report back at 500 miles

I’m thinking of getting the KDMAX for my 21 OR Tacoma. I’m a first time Tacoma owner. I do trails in Moab and Colorado a couple times of year and recently realized the dunes are my favorite place in Michigan. What can anyone tell me about this tune affecting off road performance for the Tacoma? The tune sounds great and I think I’m going to pull the trigger on it but I want to make sure it won’t cause issues when I go off Roading. TIA
