Damn I have that. 75mph and when a jerk cuts in your lane my truck brakes hard. Set at 300 ft. Freaks me out and the people behind me.

It's a bit of a double-edged sword but I remember making monotonous 45+ min commutes (one way) days, swings, and mids, and there was more than one time where I went on autopilot with CC on in my old CR-V. Found myself closing in on the guy in front and snapped out of it to change lanes. Adaptive CC would've been reeeeal nice back then. Now my commute is 4 minutes.

Definitely set it to the highest distance. I do not trust anyone on the pavement with me.

Thanks John aka @Boltripper for the new tune. If you are leaning toward the KDMAX tune go ahead and jump in. Best mod for the money I’ve ever spent.

You can turn adaptive CC off though. If you hold the on/off button when you turn your CC on, it will switch from adaptive to standard.

    Do seat covers count?
Runs fantastic! A few of my buddies want to drive my truck now and see if they want the reflash. I'm interested to pull with it now to. I will say I have to relearn driving the truck again, every now and then I'll goose it because of the better throttle response lol.

2019 Offroad MT - I've been running the KDMAX tune for a little over 2 months and wanted to chime in on my experience so far. First thing that has to be said, PapaRee was super responsive to my PMed questions and was terrific. Thank you!

This cannot be taken for granted when dealing with folks through a forum (!) but as many others have pointed out, was a super experience all around. I have plans to mod the truck further and look forward to getting help and advice from this community.

As for the tune, it has been great for me. A little more 'grunt' at lower RPMs and power output is much more linear. That annoying surge around 3500 rpms is gone - just getting rid of that annoyance made the tune worth it. Sure, I still wish the truck had another 50hp or so, but there's only so much a tune can achieve and I am very happy with the results. Was 100% worth the reasonable cost and effort and definitely makes the truck more enjoyable to drive.

Personally I'm not doing time slots because I'd like to make it more of an actual event - show up whenever, meet other Tacoma owners, check out their trucks, and talk Tacomas while you wait to get tuned.

We have two of us tuning so it'll go pretty quick!

    See you guys on Saturday!

We got a guy not too far in Cincinnati ( @GPatriot ) if you can't wait for an event. You could visit and get yourself a KDMax tune and heck if you're gonna be in Cincinnati, pick up a bowtie too :D

I’ve had mine tuned in Jul 3rd. How long should it take before I get a better MPG. Still getting 17.8 max. I was getting better mpg prior. I drive it the same way before I got it tuned. I have 265/70R16 and not towing anything. On SLT.

After a few full tanks of gas (approx. 500 miles), you should be settled in. Not everyone gets better mileage, but most do. You definitely should not get worse MPG.

I normally get 340/tank before this. I now have 220 miles with almost half tank left. I’m really expecting to get better mileage. One of the reasons I got it tuned.

We have never guaranteed better gas mileage, although it seems that most people do get better gas mileage.
But if you are not happy with the tune, I will give you a full refund and get you flashed back to stock. That is no problem.
Just let me know who tuned your truck and I will get with them to make it happen and refund you.

@PapaRee is right about 500 miles.. it settled in nicely and I’m on regular aggressive throttle.. I can’t imagine using any lower throttle
