I'll be getting the Ontario (canada) dude to do it so I'll let him know!

I'm mainly interested in the ect switch so that I can just see the differences temporarily, but think I'll be into the LT version in the end.

Were there other programable features as well aside from that?

    Not sure what you want.
The tune, AS IS is very good. When you have it loaded on your truck, you will see. If for some reason you are not happy, you can get changes made if possible or a full refund.
    You are overthinking this.

Not overthinking, just making sure I understand the feature set of what the tune offers...for example the ect thing.

Been eager to install for a while. I realize everyone in this thread just says to do it, I don't doubt the quality... but if getting curious about the install and features makes me seem like I'm overthinking then alrighty LOL

I’m still not sure what you are asking me.
ECT is already set in the tune for towing. It holds gears longer and the throttle is a little more aggressive. That’s it. A lot like stock ECT.

If someone wanted ECT to be different than what I just described, I would have to make a custom tune for them.

I hope that answers your question.

So I don't recall seeing a discussion about this but what is the benefit of running a higher grade fuel on a regular tune? I am running SLT on mid grade (89) and tried running 87 for about 700miles and did see any difference in MPG or responsiveness.

I'm curious who all feels a regear is necessary for 33's with a KDmax tuned rig? I have 32's right now on SLT 87 tune with some extra weight on the truck. The more wheeling I do, the more I want bigger tires. I'll probably go with the tall skinnies. But I'm worried that the truck is going to suffer a lot without a regear, especially when towing my trailer and hauling materials for work.

I’m on 35x10.5x17’s and I have put gears on the back burner for now with as good as the KDMax tune is.

and you waited til Monday? darn!

I’ll tell you this - if KD Max wasn’t the shiz I would be leaving this Tacoma 100% stock and I would be turning it in at the end of my lease term. KD Max saved the tacos.

It sounded to me that he was asking about map switching using the ECT button for different throttle tip ins.

If that is the case, Map Switching is not available. Even the beta Map Switching for 04b04 was removed.

Maybe removing the 04b04 beta is a sign that it works well, no more testing needed and the remaining ECUs are being coded as we speak.

I’m camping in the line to get the KDMax version (custom, that is) that incorporates the 2.0 ultimate map switching patch.
