If I recall, early test was the beginning of March. But I think the 6month is valid if you just count months, March-August.

Figure it will be about 5minutes after your tune is flashed and your shifting will be fixed and you will be one happy Tacoma owner!

You will fall in love with your baby over again and again. Every time you press the Gas pedal and the shifting…that you’ll hardly feel.

I did the kdmax 6 a few weeks ago. Still getting used to the salt versus the stock pedal response. Big difference overall from stock. The truck feels “tighter”. Not getting much better gas mileage, at least in part because I’m driving harder. The truck invites to be driven harder. Now there’s version 7. What’s the difference?

7.0 is the vfc files made with the newest vFtuner software.

Unless the new software has some magic over the old software, it should be the same.

    7.0 > 6.0, therefore 7.0 must have at least +16hp.

    KDMax tune
Got my tune this morning and all I can say is unbafrickingleavable! The shifting and responsiveness is so much improved it’s hard to believe! My truck did not need any updates flashed and the tune took literally 2 minutes. I was 10+ minutes early and Eddie was waiting for me. He explained everything including the fact the sonar cruise control would revert to the stock tune but the continuous cruise works with the new tune which I didn’t realize…….
Can’t wait to drive to our cabin at 6500’ that will be the real test for the shift points ……. Made a right turn from stop light and the tires chirped! Never did that before……. JUST BUY IT DON’T BE STUPID! I’m gonna order a tee shirt too!

I get my tune this weekend and I am debating between Regular and LT throttle. I have to drive a long ways to meet the tuner and he is meeting me part way. I see the poll above and the two tunes are close. Can someone tell me why I should get the LT throttle over the Regular throttle?

Personal preference... LT for me is better... I don't want it to be too sensitive offroad. I also don't feel like racing stop light to stop light so the LT was a better option.

I would also say it depends on what tires you have and what your vehicle configuration is like. For example Regular on a stock truck is way different that Regular on a geared overland rig with 35's.
