    Just do it. You will not be disappointed. It is hard to explain but my truck just feels lighter. Highway driving is immensely improved. What throttle you choose is up to you. How froggy do you want it to be?

    So for shits and giggles I ran a tank of 89 octane {usually run 87} and mpgs went up, thought it was a fluke. Now into my second tank with 89 and I’m averaging 18.5 mpg 70/30 city/highway. Originally I was getting 17-17.5 and I’m on 285’s.

    So, Im getting the KD max tune on my 21 army green manual tranny this Saturday. It has 1400k on it and it is stock and will remain this way until I wear out these tires. After that point I will upgrade suspension 2" or so and go with 33ish tires with a front bumper upgrade(lots of deer at large around here). My question is which option should I choose? XXT or XT? where is the difference felt? Is is strictly in the throttle response? How exactly does a tune effect a manual compared to an auto. Sorry if these were answered prior, I read back a few pages but not further.

    The throttles are not that different. XXT is about 5% more. The difference is in the air/fuel ratio and a few other improvements I made in the tune. I would go with the XXT, it is better all around.
    The few manuals that I tune— all get the XXT— the most up to date, better tune.
    It’s definitely not just a throttle increase.

    Our XXXT Manual Tune is on par with Coyoza. I’ve tuned the same customer with both tunes and he ended up keeping KDMax over Coyoza

    I heard it is a great tune. But no insight. We do our own.

    Monday I got the man himself, Kreg, to bump me up from OV2.0 to KDMax. We went with the wife tip and that works great for me. It seems to have about the same throttle feel as the OV2.0 which I liked. OV felt like stock but better. KDMax feels like what the truck should have come like from the factory. Big improvement. Shift points are where they should be and not trying to get to the higher gear too soon and bogging the motor down. I haven’t tried out cruise control yet but I expect it will be as good as everyone says. Good job on the tune PapaRee and thanks again!
