Man I really wish I can tune my truck so I can change it whenever it’s needed. Don’t get me wrong I’m happy with how the WT responds to most of my driving needs. But…sometimes I need it to be more responsive. @PapaRee, how much will it cost me to be able to tune my own truck?

So I was stopped at the store/gas station at the dunes on the coast last week and noticed they had 110 octane fuel. I have the 93 tune and was wondering would it be safe to run 110 or would my truck implode?

Anybody have feedback on this tune for a 6MT?
Lots of info on the trans tune portion that doesn't matter to the manual shift crowd.

The tune is octane learning, but according to Ovtune early on, it goes up to 94-95 octane. So you would get the benefit of the best performance but you would be wasting money for the rest. I would just buy the Premium with 93-94 octane. I don't believe it would harm your truck, but you would be wasting money (unless it is the same price).

    Hey Guys,
I’m trying to get @TWTaco to come up to the Silicon Valley area and need 4-5 more Taco’s that want tuning to make it a worthwhile trip. Anyone else here interested?

There are lots of happy Manual transmission guys on our KDMax tune. On the first post I put a bunch of reviews at the bottom. Some are Manuals. It is a very good tune and we have not had anyone that was not happy with the improvements. You will not be disappointed!!

Just to help spread the word…there’s a Fresno meetup possibly happening but we need one more Taco to get the go ahead.

    110 Unleaded? Don't run 110 leaded....
Sure, do it for fun if it's unleaded, won't hurt.

    That sounds promising!
Do you have special tunes for cat delete exhaust? New to the Tacoma world, but on other platform a tune can do more for power gains when the exhaust is freed up. Haven't dug into it yet, but it's something that in considering. Any input there?

We do have tunes for dumptubes and catless dumptubes. But I would try the tune with your current exhaust first. I am not sure it is worth the time and money to do exhaust modifications.

I read an article about the AFe twisted headers and full exhaust claiming like 22hp and 29 TQ gain, but I know those numbers are subjective usually.
