KDMax-Pro Tuning--NOW YotaWerx Tuning

Hey guys, loving my KDMAx tune, one question though, is there any way to get shift lock back into the tune for sequential mode with the current version? That would make the tune perfect, at least for me. Would get me as close to a manual as I can get, without trading in my 21 for a 22 Manual and waiting a year for my color and spec.

 

What is shift lock?

 

I assume he means gear lock. Which would be possible with ECT and S mode, as long as the tune is set up by @PapaRee that way.

 

I want that for sure then. I dont like it when it shifts on its own even when I am in S mode.

 

Yes Jeremy you can get a gearlock tune contact your tuner and request the gearlock tune. If you tuned yourself contact @PapaRee or @TWTaco for that specific KDMAX-Pro Gearlock file.

 

I was going to wait for more miles before reviewing the Pro tune, but I see no need.

Flashed the Pro lite throttle setting this morning where previously I was running wife-tip. Yesterday I flashed the Pro normal throttle and decided that I prefer a less aggressive pedal. Either way the off idle dead spot is gone on the Pro tune. The Pro tune lite throttle setting has a very good feel and is more responsive than wife-tip.

The Pro tune is an improvement to the previous KDmax tunes in every way. Shifting, torque and overdrive gear behavior has been improved. I can't yet comment on mpg.

The best description that comes to mind is "buttery smooth".

Here's my grading on the tunes I've ran thus far on my 2021 OR...

Stock Tune - F There's nothing positive that can be said about the stock tune, it absolutely sucked. If possible I'd give this tune a lesser grade than F.

KDMAX 6.0 and 7.0 - B This tune is a significant improvement from the stock tune, in every way. I'd have graded it higher had I not tested the Pro tune.

KDMAX Pro - A This tune really deserves an A+ and I'm just giving the tuners room for improvement. Worth every penny of $75 for the upgrade.

Gearlock is available. But, YOU WILL LOSE ECT.
To use gearlock you have to have it in ECT+SMode. If you put it in ECT only, it won't downshift.

With that said, if you want Gearlock, just let me, Dave or the person who tuned you know. It is a custom tune.

I’m meeting with him next weekend, I’ll talk to him before then, he seemed to think it wasn’t in the new version of the Linear tune. I will definitely double check with him, thank you!!

I turned 99k on my 17 and my driveshaft definitely has its dents but its still going strong
