As of now, pure gold! ( Seriously)
Only on first tank, not even half empty yet. More to come once I get a few tanks through...

I have to say, I don't know what they did on this file or how they did it, but I am very shocked as to why Matt could not pull this off.... seriously blows me away, and I'm not even on the premium file! ( Which I would guess offers even better performance)

Yes. Ovtune 2.0 regular octane file with some edits from the MT guys.... Not even close to as smooth and nice as this...

Again, I'm still on my first tank of gas, keep that in mind, but nothing before this has felt this good from the get go. I can only imagine what the premium kdmax file feels like!

It's so hard to explain how it can be so smooth and consistent with the throttle.... 6th gear is awesome on the highway... No rocket ship, but as of now, much better feeling then any ov tune I have tried.

4th gear I think is my favorite for around town driving... It's moves and feels much better.

There have been times that the truck has downshifted into 5th going uphill at highway speeds and the shifting was so smooth I couldn't tell I wasn't still in 6th gear until I looked at the RPM's. Crazy smooth.

'ECU learning generally takes 3 tanks', hmm :D

I'm still on the first tank since flashing this tune (no chance for long drive yet, just errands, buried with work).

If 3 tanks is around where this tune gets its wind, I'll be looking forward to that, for sure.

I hope to go out looking for some landscaping stone this weekend, might get some distance in, see how that goes.

Still very impressed overall with the expressiveness of the tune, it's not so much that there's a lot more power, per se, but that the power seems to have been convinced to show up to the party earlier in the pedal, and there's no weird indecision in the power curve under the throttle.

The trip on the way back was much the same - lucky me the wind shifted from the trip on the way down and I had a nasty side/head wind for the drive home as well.
Used cruise control for about half the trip set at 78 but the wind was just too much for cruise so I turned it off. Definitely hit 4th gear on some hills using CC.
14.8mpg on the way back at my usual speeds on that route 78-82.

So basically I can report that at very high highway speeds with 18-20mph headwinds, the truck is still gonna struggle for decent mpg, as would pretty much any truck, but the silky smooth shifting and noticeable increased power across the board had me pissed off only at the wind for once and not my truck! Never thought I'd see that day...

Another solid selling point of the KDMax's exceptionally smooth shifting is this:

While on OVTune 1.04 back in 2018 I was highway driving and it was a little rainy. I was on the highway and went to pass a vehicle while on a slight incline. I did not floor it or lay on the pedal hard by any means, just lightly sped up. As I came beside that vehicle the damn truck shifted hard into 4th and I could feel the back end just barely start to slip on the wet road due to the sudden downshift that rocketed the RPM's. Luckily I caught it and didn't lose control but a less-experienced driver very well could have.

The increased power and shift parameters of KDMax greatly reduce the likelihood of this from happening.

So remember, Drive Safe, Drive KDMax!

Is VF Tuner locked to just one computer. Meaning if my laptop dies do I have to buy VF Tuner again?

    Eibach stage 1 -wheeler’s 2” aal-spc uca’s FN 5 Star w/Falken Rubitrek AT 265/70r17. Nitro 4:88’s KDMax tuned Leer 100r
Chris @Phich (Texas) got myself and my bud tuned with reg fuel KDmax 6.0 A/T a few days ago.
Im on 4:88’s 04b33 and my bud stock gears 04b04....both on 2” lift 32’s with toppers.
I went reg throttle, bud went LT. We both only have 40 or so miles on the tune and damn! Huge difference in throttle response/smoothness/shifting!
We both need more miles to realize more of the benefits of KDmax but so far....loving it! I’ll update when we get more miles and I tow my boat.

Want to thank Chris @Phich. Good dude who was very helpful and explained the process thoroughly. Highly recommend him to any of you in Texas who want to be tuned!

Also thank you @PapaRee and @TWTaco for all the work you guys put into this tune and for coming up with the “network” of individuals who flash your tunes in different states...great way for us to easily get tuned and updated when needed.

Met with @Palanterra today and was able to tune his 2020 ORDCSB - I want those LED headlights! He provided a great "Wow" reaction after the test drive....and that's what it's all about. Shout out to @PapaRee and @TWTaco for KDMAX 6.0 and just how good it is!
