Just got my truck tuned. Basically beating a dead horse at this point. And with only about 200 miles on it I am not an expert. But I will tell you that my initial impressions are two thumbs up. The main things I was hoping to address were the transmission hunting and also a smoother power curve. Add about 3800 RPMs with a slow roll on I felt like a turbo is kicking in. Not anymore, super linear and smooth feeling all the way through 3000 and beyond RPMs. I live in the mountains and coming up several passes the difference is night and day with the gear hunting. Not only does it behave much much better, but the shifting itself is amazingly smooth now. Are used to somewhat dread or even fear pushing the pedal down a little bit more and having the car spaz out and over accelerate. It truly drives as it should now.

Not sure if this is the right spot or not but anyone that had a Cold Air Intake before your tune did you leave it on or go back to the stock air intake after the tune?

Correct. The S&B moves the MAF sensor and gave us problems in the past, but on the KDMax-Pro, we haven't had any problems.

Ok so I did my first long drive on the tune today. All I gotta say is WOW. Definitely noticed a difference on the highway. It was much easier to drive and my mpg went up. I drove the truck north for about 3hrs sitting at 75-80mph before the tune and got 16.5mpg. Did the same drive back home at the same speed and got a 19.8mpg. If you don’t have the tune yet then get it ASAP.

Just got back from getting tuned from Vic in Tampa. Being a ‘22’ I never really experienced the gear hunting issues like others but did notice a overall lack of power on the low end and off the line. I have about 1500 miles on the truck so far and about 150 or so on the tune.(sport) I immediately could tell the difference off the line. There’s still a little lack of power in the middle gears but a big difference from stock for sure. These are not race trucks and they will never have V8 type power and just to be clear these tunes are not a magic turbo. They simply make the truck drive/shift better and it mostly certainly did on mine. On my way up this morning to meet Vic I averaged 18.3 mpg on the interstate. On my way back home I averaged 19.5 driving the same so there’s that. Overall super happy to have got it done and to meet Vic from Tampa. Great guy, answered all my questions and was patient with the barrage of questions I had. If you’re on the fence about it like 100’s of others have said just get it done!

Dave and I have held off on buying a 2022 Tundra because we are waiting for it to be supported in VFtuner.
If you have a 2022 Tundra and VFtuner, PM me. I would like to see if you can Read the ECU.

I hear you. The Hybrid TRD Pros are coming in March/April. That is what I really would like to have.
My dealership is not marking up. They sell at MSRP.
I just want them to be supported for tuning before I commit to buying one.
