Your trucks ECU will always read OEM calibration. Several tuned customers have had major warranty work done with no issues.

Huge thanks again to @TWTaco and @MN FrostyTaco! Night and day difference! Now I have to make excuses to just go somewhere so I can drive it. I work from home and typically we take our new Rav4 since a little better in gas. But loving my Taco even more now!

Angela @Nomad26 Came in this afternoon to get updated from KDMAX6.0 to KDMAX-Pro. She had 4.88's installed today and wanted to get updated as soon as the gears were done.
We updated her to Pro with Lite throttle and 4.88 gear settings.
Enjoy the Pro Tune Angela!! Let us know how the new gears and Pro tune are working for you.

Serious question, why is this 400 dollars for a ten minute software upgrade? Tunes used to get passed around and cost less than 25 bucks. Is there proprietary code now? Must be kick ass I want to try it.

A few years ago it was about $700 to buy OVtune and tune your truck. Now with Vftuner it is $389 (software and cable) +$390 (Ovtune tune pack) = $779 to tune your truck with a base 2.0 Ovtune tune.
So paying $400 (total cost) is a good deal for our tune (also includes TSB update if needed). We have a large amount of time, money and data invested in our tune. We also have great customer service- we want everyone to be happy driving their truck. Our customer reviews have shown that our tune is an improvement worth the cost.
    You will not be disappointed.

Edit- Anyone who tunes vehicles has to pay 4 credits ($100/truck—$68/truck if bought in bulk) to Vftuner. They also have to purchase the Vftuner Pro software for $1250 and have a business.

Most of the “Pro Tuners” or at least myself have a lot of expenses…

vehicle credits, cost of vftuner software, cost of laptop, business license, business insurance, umbrella policies, corporations, taxes to Uncle Sam, commission, Venmo fees, PayPal fees, merchant fees, time and gas, equipment (battery chargers, cables, power supplies), R&D time, advertising costs… the list goes on.

Yes, it may take “10-15” minutes to tune the guy, but what about the 15-30 minute plus conversations with each customer or more to answer questions. I offer free retunes, and those also require more time, more appointments, more talking due to customer service.

Everyone thinks this is a cash grab operation… it truly is setup as a service business. Yes I am insured to protect my customers, and to protect myself.

All of this is quite involved, not as easy as it looks… it looks quite easy because we are professionals.

Hope this gives a snapshot into what we do @Lenny Dykstradamus … but we do this because we love to help people out!

I guess I missed the day of the $25 dollar tune (?) Was that around the time we were setting points with a match book ? :boink:

I can tell you I was at the dentist today and it set me back $1200 to pull two teeth....
I can distinctly remember old Mr. Schmidt pulling one of Dougy Bailey's teeth out in his garage with a pair of pliers off his bench when I was a kid. I am next to sure that not a dollar changed hands !

Although the above is a true story, I'm only jazzin' you Len, but I can tell you If you are in the least disappointed in your truck's performance and you have the means, the price of admission is well worth this product . :burnrubber:
