    KDmax pro tune
    Just met up with John GPatriot and Great Dane today so we could get our trucks tuned. I have a 2020 manual sport and I had john do the normal throttle tune on mine. I am already 100% happy with how the truck runs now. It finally feels like a 278 hp engine should. Well done everyone involved with the KDmax pro tune. Y'all made my truck much more enjoyable to drive. I just drove it back 116 miles and I already see a mpg change. I'm stoked...

    Hey Gang, got the Pro tune about three weeks ago, and drove it for the first time since, today. I noticed that the headlights no longer work like they used to. They do not shut off automatically if left in the full on position like they used to. I have to turn them ALL the way off, manually, or they just stay on. I haven't seen anyone else mention it. Any ideas?

    Got my tune about 2wks ago, and my lights still shut off just fine. I have my stalk turned to auto though. Not sure how the tune would impact headlights

    Yeah, it seems odd to me too. I could also hit the lock button twice and they would go off. Now, not so much. I will consult the book in the box. I know it also reset my display settings, so maybe..

    Check your settings in the head unit. I know there are some lighting settings there.
    Let us know when you figure it out.

    One time I used my spare key fob and my light settings were different. Try your spare key fob also.

    I bought my '21 TRD Sport lightly used (thru a dealer) with about 11K miles, would I have any way of knowing if it has been tuned or not? The PO did some minor mods, including adding a full audio system/sub. Thinking if someone that did that, they might have done a tune, but I have no documentation or records from the PO. Honestly the way it drives my impression is definitely that it has NOT had it, but is there a VIN register or something that you guys have for all trucks that have been tuned? Of course there are other tuners out there too, but is there any way to know for sure?

    With the Vftuner software, a tuned Tacoma will not be able to “read ECM”. On a stock Tacoma, you can “read ECM”.
    That’s the only way that I know to see if a Tacoma has a tune loaded.

    Tuned or not tuned you can still “prepare ECM” or use Techstream (like the dealership). It will identify as the stock tune with or without the tune.
