I updated from KDMax Pro w/sport throttle to Pro+ w/Normal this last weekend. I loved the sport throttle, but the extra off the line oomf had me always wanting to punch it…I’d still recommend it to anyone. Now that I have tuned to Pro+ wNormal, I’ve got to say I love it just as much and my mpgs have gone up a tad. When you compare KDMax to stock, you can’t go wrong either way.

It blows me away every chance I get to drive my truck (everyday). I want to throw a shout out to @PapaRee & @TWTaco for helping me to build my Forever Rig. Thanks Bros!

We are updating our info and map daily. The first post is a great check check but the map will continue to offer a great visual of your nearest resource. It's updated each day but right now we are getting a lot of updates as services are really growing for KDMAX!!

So after looking at the map, it appears there are no Pro tuners close or even in Oregon lol How or who to contact for a future possible Oregon event?

A few posts up: https://www.tacomaworld.com/threads...aree-and-twtaco.713699/page-260#post-27096879 @TWTaco posted how we are looking for resources in a few key areas. Maybe you want to be a part of the group or no someone who can fill such a role. It's a great experience for those interested and in any open area we are looking means the area is all yours!

If that's not your area of expertise or interest then perhaps a remote tuning option can work for you. Let me know if you want to pursue that can I can talk with you more directly.

So I'm seeing mention of KDMPplus. Whats been updated/added/improved/adjusted in the PLUS+ ver?

Do I want it? Need it? Will it change my mind about wanting to switch to X&X Xxxxx?

    LMK!

Well thank you for the quick reply. I am actually debating getting the software and cable already so there is a lot of the cost anyway. Also not unfamiliar with establishing a business. Not sure, but it is an interesting thought, it has sparked an interest. Probably have to send me a pm.

I’m not as much as a noob as the account makes me out to be lol I was a member started in 2010 when I got my 2010 TRD OR 6sp MT but after a few years I drifted away as my boat was my main fun toy and the truck became my DD. Seems my login didn’t work 10 years later, who knew lol I had to create this acct to ask about the tune.

I’ve been following this thread for a long time, lurking. I bought a 21 Pro AT last summer. Still only 5k miles. I also bought a new bike 6 months later so on a sunny day, I’m probably not driving the truck lol I added a lot of mods to the bike over the winter and there is not much more I need to do, I called it done. So now I’m bored and it is now the trucks turn, within reason, I’m still in warranty lol

What’s funny is back in 2010, and thanks to TW, I had heard about the tranny and shifting funniness even back then with the AT, and I liked MT anyway so I avoided an AT when I bought it new. I don’t think it was as pronounced as it is now. I knew if the AT got on my nerves (it has, in spades) the tune was a thing and what do you know, here I am lol

Well if you're heavier Tacoma with armour and big tires like 33s or bigger I recommend. I'm 5,350 lbs and I just put 35s on my truck yesterday

The Pro+ just has the shift points increased about 3-4 mph. Keeps the truck in each gear a little longer. Nothing else is changed. But like I always say, one little change affects EVERYTHING.
It is what I run on my truck (3" lift and 33" tires) and I like it better. My MPG's did not get worse, they stayed the same as the Pro.
It can be ran on any truck, it is just recommended over the Pro on heavy/Overlander trucks for sure.

I have been a customer or @PapaRee for a long time now and I always promised him I'd give him a review... and never did. I have been running KDMaxPro for a long time now and loved it and I started seeing that a "+" tune was available. So, after reading quite a few good reviews on it I asked him about it and he sent it in about 60 seconds. The KDMaxPro was amazing for me and the "+" has improved even more.. LOVE IT! So much fun to drive! My truck isn't all that heavy, I have 32s and some pelicans on the roof rack just for reference. Couldn't recommend it more! Excellent job Kreg and crew. Thank you!

So..........after 3 tanks of gas and a 200+ mile round trip, I can honestly say that I'm very impressed with what this tune has done for my truck. It still hunts through gears with the cruise control on, but not as much. But then too, I live in Kentucky, and some parts are pretty damn hilly.
My gas mileage is much better also, which is a good thing in these times. Throttle response has definitely improved also.
I recommend this tune to everyone that I can talk to that owns a Tacoma.
