    *Full disclosure, there was a nice tailwind.
    BUT I have made this drive literally hundreds of times with my truck on different tunes and with different size tires, etc, lots of variations with headwinds, tailwinds, no winds...
    It has never driven as smooth and held gear as well, especially in cruise control.

    This was on the way back from Corpus Christi to San Antonio.
    Cruise set at 81mph with minor slowing and speeding up to accommodate passing on I37 which is a two-lane highway, rolling hills, lots of very long, low grade inclines and declines, more inclines on the way back up from the valley area to hill country foothills. (speed limit is 75)

    176 miles, cruise control was on for about 140 of those miles.
    The pic was taken about 120 miles into the trip. Fluctuated from 18.2-18.6 while cruising.

    If I had not been on cruise I likely would have been near 20mpg. Pro+ is the real deal.

    Any info on what the pro+ will do on us MT guys? I’ve got the pro and from my understanding, the + just holds gears longer but since that’s not a thing in the manual… no difference?

    You are correct Chris.
    Manual transmission truck owners have the power and ability to hold their gears longer manually, so they do not need Pro+.

    I am sure glad I got the Pro + for my AT. Do you guys have any advice on how to drive during two tank learning period after a tune? Is it better to accelerate hard or soft during shifts when learning? Should we avoid S Mode and ECT? Maybe we need a tune that deletes learning. That seems to be the root of many problems. TIA

    My experience is driving it “like you stole it” helps with the learning. Smooths everything out faster. Wide open throttle in a safe area speeds up learning/settling.

    Not being political at all, but curious if this will affect tunes, do the tunes have enough corrections to accommodate higher ethanol numbers?

    I had the same thought about my truck and my "fun car." Will be interesting to see. I found one gas station around me that provide 0% eth gas. I go there as much as is convenient. Especially for my fun car. Just runs so much better on it.

    No. E10 only.
    Do not run E15 in a Tacoma. The fueling systems on these trucks are NOT designed for ANYTHING higher than E10

    When you go to pump your gas next time, look at your gas cap. It is a hardware/fuel system limitation.

    Ah shit. My cap either says something else or my reading sucks. I put in like 2 gal of E15 because it was notably cheaper. Just to top off the tank prior to heading out into the desert. Is my truck gonna assplode? I did a quick Google and looks like some others have done a full tank of this and are still standing.

    Obviously I'll not do this again to save a few pennies. Just curious what I'm looking at.

    I am sure you will be fine with that small amount. I have also read of a few people that have ran a full tank of it. I think it has long term affects on seals, certain plastics, certain metals, etc.
    The E15 is only 15% ethanol compared to E10 at 10% ethanol, so I would not worry about it.

    That makes sense. I seem to recall it the goal of the "Flex-fuel" GM marketing that talk about about seals and certain components being compatible so I would not mess with something out of spec other then a single try this.

    Actually, take a look at the manual. It states not to exceed 15%. 2017 and 2020 both state the same (see attached).

    Note: I just downloaded the 2017 manual from online. I'm not sure if the online manual has been updated or not compared to the hard copy. Now I'm actually curious if the hard copy/paperback manual states this.
