    Tks, it appears to work. Had no problems with the install. 1.6 appears to take out the previous version when it installs itself so here we are. Hope this is it.

    Yes 1.5.7 will be gone after you download new 1.6.
    1.5.7 will be unavailable at some point today.

    Did you check for updates after installing 1.6? I reinstalled it and it started working for now. Maybe, reinstall and don't check for updates? :notsure:

    I’ve never been able to check for updates on 1.5.7. The program works for 1.5.7 but you can’t flash.

    When you check to see what version your on it will still say 1.5.7 version this was missed on the update.

    The “update” screen appeared (uncommanded) after opening 1.6. It said an update was available so I clicked on “update”. Big mistake. It did something in the background then proceeded to tell me I wasn’t connected to the internet and could not open. I did a re-install of 1.6 and it now appears to work. No more unsolicited “update” screens.

    Hey everyone, like @M1Awolf i've had OVTune since the (relatively) early days and have heard about KDMax but never made the jump. I have been thinking about it recently but been holding off due to the promise of the 2.0 "ultimate" tunes from Matt that everyone has been speculating on. here are my questions:
    1. if i were to purchase KDMax, and the tools used to develop the "ultimate" tunes were released to vF Tuner, would KDMax provide an update that incorporates these new features/maps? From what I understand, the "ultimate" tune isnt so much a modification of what's already out there, but new maps/etc that make possible things that may not have been previously, such as eliminating rev hang as an example.
    2. like @M1Awolf i have a 6sp, so are there any other 6sp OVTune converts besides him that can comment on how KDMax is different than what I already have?
    Sorry if these questions have already been addressed, this thread has been popular and its hard to narrow it down by searching anymore.

    I ran the updater tool and it broke mine. So I re loaded the software. This time I did not run the updater. Tried to flash my truck and that worked. Opened up some files and that works.
    It doesn't look like there are any new features. No EROM 1.2. There also is no new Tacoma 2.7L files added.
    Anyone else see anything different?

    Yup! I figured that out like @PapaRee by uninstalling and reinstalling but not doing the update (it must be broken). I'm about to unlock the OBD Port, and install 04B33-KDMax-Pro+-AGM-4.88-Lite-L.vfc :thumbsup:

    Sorry, this is not an option of any ECU tune from anyone...and it is not something even remote starters have an option to workaround as it is a Toyota safety feature. I can say that if you had a key start (like my '16 SR5 auto) you can avoid this smart key issue. To date there is no known workaround.

    I might be late here, but I had the same message when I first installed. My firewall was blocking the program access to the internet. I changed my settings to allow it and it worked fine after that.
