Has anyone noticed any changes over time in how it drives/feels? I have regular KDMax (not sure which but not pro). Mine seems to have developed kind of a dead spot in the pedal right off the line - i.e. more pedal needed before it moves. I was towing for a while. Seemed worse right after disconnecting the trailer, but about 800 miles without the trailer and it's still "odd" compared to before. Even after the initial start it still seems different. Not sure how to describe but maybe just less responsive.

    Hello guys!

I'm very happy with my KDmax tune, but got a quick question... Is there any tuners in Mexico? I'm from Monterrey, and my brother in law bought a tacoma (2020) and he mentioned all this cool stuff and what not.. but when I asked him about the transmission ( auto ) he didnt notice or realize how bogged down it was...

Told him how different the truck handles and drives once I got the tune.. So my question is, is there anybody down there? I go to Monterrey often, but he doesn't come over here.

    Thanks!!

Alfredo is the closest tuner to Monterrey. If he purchased his truck in Mexico he will need to have his ECU ID verified to be sure its supported with vftuner.

Anyone know what or how to use the WiFlasher tool in the latest vFT 1.6.3.52122 ? It looks to me like a stripped down version of the Flash ECU tool but I don't think I'll try it until some pioneer gives it go.

Do you know why there’s only two buttons on the flasher tool with no way to recover if I happen to brick something? Connecting to the server is basically wifi same as the ECU flash tool.

Good point. But the tune or TSB is on your laptop.

Ya, it’s a really simple tool for simple flashers (like me). It would have been really helpful if Mat would have included the instructions and when/what to use it for. And, the consequences, if not used correctly.

Followed up with one of my customer tonight to see if had any issues, complaints, or still satisfied. He was tuned with Pro + Sport throttle on a stock truck.

He stated it was everything I told him it would be (didn’t oversell it but listed what I personally new it to be).

He elaborated on better shifting, better torque and horsepower, and was amazed at with all the gains it was able to gain 2 MPG on his last full tank of gas. He averaged 18 before and now seeing 20.

He was driving at the time and stated on a 150 mile road trip traveling backroads at about 60 MPH he was averaging 22 + MPG!

KDMAX Pro and Pro + “More “Smiles” per miles!”

    KDMax-Pro+XT
    XT=Extra Torque
(Auto and Manual Transmission V6 Tacomas)

There are some people that wanted more Torque and more Hp, while keeping the great shifting and throttle from the KDMax-Pro+ tune.
We made some changes to the tune and tested it on our trucks (KDMax Tuning Group).
It has the KDMax-Pro+ tune as the base with changes in VFtuner to make more POWER.
Our group testing has given us good results and ZERO complaints.
The Dyno results were great-- 29hp increase over stock, and 28ftlbs torque increase over stock.

    Stock vs Pro-XT
    2016 4x4 Sport 5.29 gears on 295/70/17
    87 Octane.
    29 HP over stock.
    28 Ftlbs Torque over stock.
At 3250 RPM 46 Ftlbs Torque over stock.
Ran 3 runs stock and 3 runs Pro-XT. Threw out the high and low of each.

Damn, should've waited a couple weeks when I had vftuner in hand :bananadead: hopefully have it by this weekend and see what pro+ feels like before I decide (but more is more...)
