Question: After the KD MAX tune do we still have the Brake override program installed or hopefully does it get removed? That Brake OR just bugs me to death all because of some balled-up floor mats and idiots who didn't remember how they started the vehicle.

Not sure what you’re referring to as a problem. What exactly is the “brake overide” program and how is it messing with you?

Yes. The Brake override is still there.
We do not remove any safety system.

Shout out to @Magiriano for taking time out of his crazy day to get the pro+XT tune on my truck on such a short notice. He really goes above and beyond, anyone in Alberta, I highly recommend getting KDMAX with Alex.

You have probably figured it out by now but the Brake override system will put your truck into lame mode if you press the brake for a few seconds while you are pressing the gas pedal. Display lights up like a Christmas tree and you get audible warnings as well. You have to clear the codes to get it back to normal, ask me how I know.... Lame mode: 40 MPH maybe on a downhill. It happened to me going 70 on a tollway. Glad an 18-wheeler wasn't behind me. I keep the foot off the brake more now than ever before. On my 2008 Tacoma I had sticky notes all under the dash to NOT flash that system to my ECU. My dealership followed my instructions as I bought a vehicle that you could press both pedals at the same time and wanted it that way. There are times when both are needed even at highway speeds to avoid collisions.

Thanks for the update. Never had to do that operation on this vehicle so I never experienced it. Good information.

Do you know if that can be turned off with Techstream? I would not like that either. First I've heard of that. Is it on all 3rd gen Tacos?

Hum, I think I will.... I have always flashed normal files... never gone for sport settings as I have felt it might be too much... lol
But, I think I will take the plunge

I had asked on here and the OP says NO, they do not go around ANY safety systems. I can see that as a liability if they did turn it off and the said runaway happens. I had to fight to keep it off the 2008 model Tacoma.

    UPDATE!
Been running the Pro+XT Tune for about 3 tanks now and im really liking it. I can feel the torque on inclines on the freeway and the truck feels strong. Never imagined the truck could run this good. Now I'm wondering is there room left for improvement? Or is it even possible at this point?

Which throttle are you on? I am thinking about switching from normal to lite.

Good news is you can enjoy what you've got now, and then get upgrade pricing "later"

Thanks. The normal will spin the tires pretty easily at times.
