@JDSmith is located just east of Burlington and I'm sure would be happy to help. You can also get in contact with @wahoobie for a DIY kit to do the tune yourself if you don't want to drive to see Jess. Chris is great at walking you through the process. That's how I originally did mine.

I used to live in Johnson VT and used to do ride the Harley out Route 15 to Route 2 into NH, cross over by Lancaster. Was a great ride :)

@TWTaco (sorry I left you out!)

Thanks again for the tune! It made me happy enough to wash the truck lol.

    Pro+XT regular throttle 92 octane:

My recent trip from Portland to Boise and back averaged 21.1mpg at 75mph cruise control ~95% of miles driven.

My next trip from Portland to Eugene and back averaged 22.8mpg at 65mph cruise control ~95% of miles driven.

I’ve never been able to get above 19mpg until now, even on the stock tune for ~3k miles and KD7 tune for ~7k miles. ~11,500 on the ODO now and never felt better.

    Truck has:
Holley Intech air intake, 265/75R16 SL Toyo AT3, tonneau cover and TRD cat back. 100 pounds in bed and 400lbs between me and big bro.

I’m getting my tune installed tomorrow in Tampa and was just curious if there is a big, noticeable difference between the normal mode and the sport mode. After reading thru this thread I’m thinking I will do the normal tune and if I want a little extra I can just push the ECT button… which I was also wondering about. Will the ECT give the normal tune a little more oomph?

For Autos that’s about a perfect setup. ECT will put it in Sport setting where you want it!

I'd suggest that you tell your tuner you may want to try both normal and sport so you can see which one you like best, because you aren't sure. I'd start with normal, see how it feels. If you want more throttle sensitivity then try the sport. That way you can make sure you are happy with your choice before you leave :)

I agree. After your tune you won't think about a manual again. You can always use the sport mode to hold gears longer if you wish, and do some shifting. But the ECT will do all you need, unless you are pulling a lot of weight through the mountains.
