I read through a lot of pages 100+.

I see some late mode 2nd Gens but didn't see any early model (older.)

    Is this applicable on a
    2007 4.0 auto?
If so I assume same\similar benefits as other 2nd gens.

    Thanks in advance.
Very glad to see this after I was told (16 yrs ago) by Lethal Racing there was nothing tuning wise that could be done to these trucks.

They likely disconnected your battery during that service. It’s standard protocol. Disconnecting your battery for an extended amount of time will erase learned values resulting in driving characteristics that you’re not used to. I’d suggest running a couple tanks of gas through it before you reflash …may just need to settle in.

I asked the below question because of these statements:

"2nd Gen Tacoma 4.0L V6 (beta for most years trims"

    "Toyota® Tacoma 2nd Gen (V6 4.0L 2005-2015 Auto/Manual - most years/trims)"

What trim levels are excluded, or has that changed?

Toy_taco_trd (Sean) was easy to plan and schedule with, as well as informative during the process. The results of the tune were immediately noticed and I look forward to monitoring and taking advantage of this. If you are in the New England area, specifically Massachusetts, I strongly recommend him.

    Thanks! Brian.

I tuned a 2022 2.7L 4cylinder Tacoma today. Customer was very happy! Sent me this text.

You earned your spot on my truck. This thing drives like a whole new truck. Before the tune, I couldn’t get it to go past 93 on the highway, I got it up to 110 on my way home just to see, and it reached it with ease! Throttle response is terrific, acceleration is fantastic, and no more gear hunting, shifting smoother than it ever has! Thanks again man! I’ll be recommending you to every Tacoma owner I know!

Brenden came over last night to transform his truck with KDMAX! Immediately started messaging everyone he knew with a Tacoma. He couldn't believe how much better his truck drove after the tune! Enjoy, Brenden!

Josh @jv91 came by this morning with his 2022 OR. We got him flashed with Pro.9.0 with Normal throttle. After his test drive he said it felt like a different truck and he loved it!
It was nice meeting you Josh. Enjoy the Pro-9.0 let us know how your enjoying the tune.

I got my 2018 6MT by Richard Pavone in December. I wasn't sure whether to go with kdmax or the blackhawk tune and he set me up to try both in a blind test. I ended up choosing 9.0 because it felt smoother and power was available at a lower RPM. Pedal feel between blackhawk (don't remember which version I tested) and 9.0 normal throttle is pretty similar.

I'm loving the 9.0 normal throttle tune. It really woke the truck up and made it enjoyable to drive vs being a tolerable point A-B daily driver. My only other mod is the accumulator delete. I have around 1000 miles into it now. Acceleration, pedal response, rev matching, usable power at lower RPM, all improved. Fuel economy is the same, maybe +1 mpg. Sport throttle was too touchy in 4L for me which is why I went with normal throttle. No issues with the limited 4L "offroading" (forest service roads) I've done. I spent a decent amount of time in 4H and the truck did great.

2 thumbs up for both the tune and Richard Pavone.

3FDF5049-1FB9-4E66-A95E-7BA816BBB355.jpg Joseph and Jason traveled to Hattiesburg, MS from McComb and Petal to get KDMAX’d! Both were extremely happy with the improvements in shifting and acceleration.

If your looking to go beyond the crazy shifting and sluggish acceleration that plaque the Toyota Tacoma and 4Runners give me a shout. I believe you’ll be impressed with a KDMAX Pro 9.0 tune!
