KDMax-Pro Tuning--NOW YotaWerx Tuning

I was planning on 5K unless someone says otherwise.

 

I don’t know about recommendations for Motul but the Amsoil I am running is 20k oil. I changed the oil filter at 10k and I’m at about 13k right now. Going to take an oil sample at 15k and change it. I tow so probably won’t stretch it out to 20k unless the oil sample comes back healthy.

 

I had the Mobil one synthetic in my truck (until today). The Mobil one jug says 20k. That’s a lot, let us know what you find out at 15k.

 

Fwiw, mobile 0w20 with the green label. Blackstone recommended 12k

 

I know this is random but I'm still reading through every page. Currently on pg 236.

It's occurred to me that as technology progresses we are actually trying to mimic the feel of older vehicles. Speaking in relation to throttle response\linear acceleration. Drive by wire back to springs & rods.
I'm quite interested in tuning my 2007 simply for that improvement, but still doing my due diligence. Going back to sifting through info.

 

Ha, point well taken...though if my Tacoma drove like a Tesla I might not be in this thread at all.

 

As vehicle enthusiast we are never satisfied. So you'd be somewhere trying to get your next fix.

That Fumoto valve, you may want to remove it after you drain the oil the first time. There might be a half quart of oil still remaining due to the threads of the valve sticking up

 

I looked it up to see and Fumuto says NO.

 

I've had the fumoto valve for 2 years and all my oil comes out every oil change. Makes it so much easier when dealing with a skid plate

 

Whew! I was about to remove my phó-muh-toe.

Now, I want to hear more tune stuff. Lol

 

That's what I currently use with the TRD oil filter (not the regular toyota oem filter) but, I still change and rotate the tires at 6000 miles. for less than 50 bucks, it is cheap insurance, even though it is overkill. Ski

 

One of my buddies ended up getting his 2019 pro flashed by Chris, at Tacoma Tuning LLC, one of the remote flash tuners, to 9.0. he was able to get it done today, in Indiana. He sent me a message, "this is a totally different truck, holds 6th now".

I was like, yeah... I have been telling you this, since you bought it. LOL! he said he opted for normal throttle, and is currently very happy with his tuner, the tune, and his investment.
