This is on a stock 21 OR...

I've ran all the KDmax tunes from the start along with plenty of custom KDmax tunes along the way. I was on a custom version of 9.0 and just updated to 10.0 with the same custom settings from my 9.0 tune.

After a quick test drive, including a freeway run, I'd say the new tune is smoother and quieter than 9.0.

It's not a night/day difference and I wasn't expecting it would be because my 9.0 tune was really good, but the 10.0 tune is outstanding. I'll be road tripping this weekend and will post up another review after some miles.

Thank you P.R. and all of the KDmax team, your efforts and support are appreciated.

My understanding is the tune will learn from 85-95 octane. I can confirm the engine does make noticeably more power with higher octane. I’m using 91 plus a bottle of octane booster that brings it up to 94. Next time I tow, I’ll be trying this again to see the difference there.

Have you ever done a full reset on your truck? A full reset will get you back to square one and clear out any residuals. Then you will experience nothing but the new tune.
But if you do drive it the first day or so with a good mix of aggressive driving and also how you normally drive. It should settle in nicely.

No it is not necessary. But is always good to be on the most up to date version.

Since VFTuner update was available, I cleared the ECM and TCU and installed sport throttle again. I was on normal, but installed sport without clearing those values. Is it necessary? No. But, it makes me feel better knowing I have a nice, clean and fresh install going forward. I know I'll be using sport throttle from here on out, so I figured may as well start fresh.
On a side note, I was able to find this red, white and blue hat that I got when I installed version 7.
