Just posting my review as a 2.7 2TR-FE owner, i previously had OTT and it was good but wanted to give KD a try to see the difference. They are both a significant upgrade over stock, a tune is a must lifted with big tires or stock it would be the very first thing i did to the truck If you're on the fence or waiting just get it. With both tunes the trucks shifting patterns were greatly increased, from holding a gear under load to throttle sensitivity increases. I like the more aggressive throttle with KD over OTT. The 2.7 is a dog, a reliable one but a dog, i had spicy setting when on OTT and now sport on KD. The sport on KD is more aggressive which is nice on the highway, i have to give it less throttle input to keep the truck moving vs OTT. OTT it was nice around town but when it clicked into 5th my foot was 1/2 way to the floor, it would hold the gear but the throttle was not aggressive enough for me at highway speeds. OTT seemed to keep it in gear under load more at lower speeds vs KD, still does great at staying it gear but is quicker to downshift vs OTT. 6th gear also KD is quick to kick down to 5th which for me is great the 2.7 should only be in 6th on flat ground or down hill where as OTT seemed to hold 6th more. There are things i like about both tunes, i like the aggressive throttle of KD especially on the highway makes it much more enjoyable. I liked how OTT would keep it in gear under a little more load at lower speeds/gears 1-4. I got slightly more MPG on the highway with KD and slightly more around town with OTT i believe thats because its less likely to downshift in the lower gears, so they are pretty close. At this point its all about driving style which ones suits you best. They are both great tunes just which one tickles your fancy, simple answer is tune your truck.

Got the 10.0 tune about a month ago to upgrade from Pro XT+. Been running KD tunes since 2021 and each version has been an improvement. This is the best yet!

Feels like a stock profile with added torque and horsepower. The Pro version was really nice but felt like a tune if that makes any sense. Throttle was super sensitive even on normal and it seemed to rev out a little more. This is very refined. It's kind of like jumping off a 2 stroke dirt bike and then trying a 4 stroke for the first time. It's deceivingly spirited. I have a Carven exhaust so I hear everything. This tune is definitely quieter than the Pro as I find myself getting to 75 mph before I realize it. Has good grunt off the line. Mpg seems about the same.

As always, I would recommend this. Every tune seems to improve on past versions. If you're still stock you MUST try this. It will feel like someone put a new engine in your truck!

Thanks again guys for another winner!

Tyler came in today with his 2019 OR we updated and flashed the Pro-10.0 with Normal throttle. Tyler was very happy after his test drive exactly what he was looking for. Tyler spends a lot of time on the highway and is looking forward to seeing the improved highway benefits. Good talking with you Tyler enjoy the Pro-10.0.

Hey all. I had the KDMAX installed recently by David Soward in Arizona. Super happy with the results so far! Much more responsive and happy with the shifting now. David was great to work with. Highly recommend him .

Did y’all know KDMAX can provide the same Great tune to your 4Runners, Tundra’s and FJ’s?

Here’s a short statement from a recent 2013 Tundra I tuned this past Saturday (video above). He drove 36 hours straight from the Gulf Coast to Maine! I’ll get him to give a more detailed account when he has time.

For all you guys running 10.0, have you started noticing a weird high rev sound periodically? As in once a week? I have a MT and after this tune I started hearing a weird engine noise for about half a second. I cannot reproduce it.

Tuned my Tacoma and my 4Runner a couple weeks ago. Haven't really driven them yet except for around the block. I did notice an improvement over the 9.0 in both of them though.
Taking my Tacoma out tomorrow for a good ride, so I'll be able to report back on it soon.
