Tuned Austin’s (@Agilbert2112) 2018 Tacoma today. He sent me this a few hours later.

 

Anyone have this tune on a 2nd gen? Looking for your feedback. I have just seen reviews and comments about 3rd gen. haven’t gone thru this whole thread but looking for feedback!

 

I helped @powder1134 get his 2nd gen setup. Hit him up, I'm sure he'd share his thoughts with ya.

 

Finally found time to upgrade to PRO 10.0...Vic is going to hook me up this morning. I've thoroughly enjoyed Pro + but looking forward to the latest...

 

My review is......it's a game changer. I wish I had done it sooner. Do it. I have the sport throttle and both the pep, and the mpg's continue to improve. No more hard shifting going up hill, and the tune completely counteracts all the additional weight I've got on the truck.

805 Tacoma Tuning and @Offroad Taco 2022 met up early this morning to bring the KDMAX Pro v10.0 tune and his awesome 2022 Tacoma Off Road together.

After some discussion related to his driving style and vehicle usage we decided to hook him up with our Normal throttle setting.

Upon return from his test drive he hopped out and said:

"That's amazing, it's a instant difference in how this truck performs. It feels like a 6cyl should." - Manny

Dependent on his future build plans he knows that we are just a phone call and always happy to support setting him up with our Sport throttle option if needed, at no additional cost down the road.

Stock or Modified, Tacomas/4Runners/Tundras will benefit greatly from a KDMAX tune.

Improved driveability is the goal, this is acheived by:

• Optimizing Air/Fuel Ratio/Economy
• Eliminating Erratic Shifting
• Improving Throttle Response
• Increasing Horsepower (+20hp) and Torque (+33ftlb)

Met up with Joe this morning and tuned his 2012 Second Gen TRD Sport. He’s had this for about four months as his daily driver. He also has a Diesel truck as well, but got tired of paying diesel prices. Like most he’s wanting the improved shifting, better throttle response and overall improved drivability. We put this truck on the “Sport” Throttle setting. Joe came back from the test drive and immediately commented on the truck holding gears better. He’s extremely happy with the mprovements. Hopefully more second generation owners see that the improvements are there for them as well.

I expected a slight improvement over PRO + but was excitedly surprised at the amount of low end grunt the 10.0 provides...actually it's a dramatic improvement! Exactly what I was looking for. Thank you PapaRee, TWTaco and especially Vic, he's always there when you need him!

Headed out to Gaithersburg, MD and set up Eric with the Pro 10.0 in the “Sport” throttle setting. He was extremely happy with the improvements on his 2022 TRD Off-Road. Always good to see another GMG color Tacoma owner. Always excited to see first reactions to the KDMax tune.

Wiggins, Hattiesburg, Laurel, Meridian, MS

 

Any plans on getting a 2.7 on the rollers to show it some love, i tune my own truck. I have been back and forth between OTT and KD trying out all the throttle settings on both. They are both good and significant upgrades over stock, there are certain things i enjoy specifically about both tunes. All depends on the build out of the truck, weight tires etc and your driving style. i think KD could benefit from getting one on the dyno for some fine tuning.

 

Tuned a couple of 3rd Gen Tacomas this morning. Both were extremely happy with the way their trucks were changed with the tune. Derick’s silver 2020 TRD Sport went on the Normal Throttle setting he said he was “honestly blown away” by the difference in his Tacoma. Louis, was the first owner that I have had that went with the Sport+ throttle setting. He was grinning ear to ear with a big thumb up n the air as he was pulling up after his test drive. His text to me later in the morning says it all.

 

Busy day at the Rome tuning meet!
