Devon took advantage of the $50 savings for in-person tuning services running this month at ADK Tuners and brought me his bad ass overlanding 2021 Tacoma TRD Off-Road. He just completed his build on this truck, intending to use it for hunting and camping, and with lift and extra weight, the sluggish throttle response and erratic shifting was driving him nuts. A complaint 3GT owners are all too familiar with by now!

The KDMax Pro v10.0 was just what he needed to address those concerns. Based on extra weight on his truck, I flashed him to our "Normal" throttle setting after confirming there were no available Toyota ECU updates and sent him on a test drive. He returned commenting that the improvements were immediately noticable! That's what we like to hear!

A big thank you to Vincent and Tony, who joined the KDMax family at Onandaga Lake Park in Liverpool, NY today! I appreciate you coming out and trusting me with your trucks!

Vincent's 2019 Tacoma TRD Off-Road is nicely done. The truck is his everyday driver and the transmission shifting in particular had been plaguing him for some time. Got him setup on the KDMax Pro v10.0 tune with our "Normal" throttle response and sent for a test drive. He returned immediately impressed with the outcome.

Tony's 2020 Tundra TRD Off-Road is a true work horse. He tows with it frequently and in the winter attaches an 800lb plow to the front and puts a 1200lb sander in the bed. He was looking to get a little more response out of it and smoothout the shifting. The KDMax Pro v10.0 tune did just that for him! He even commented that is was like driving a new truck!

Met up with Frank this morning and tuned his 2020 Tacoma. Frank had a very nice build - lift, tires, 4.88’s. He had previously been on an earlier iteration of KDMax and went over to try the Other Tacoma Tune, but wanted to switch back, after what he felt was a Tacoma that was not running as it should be. He said his truck felt bogged down with the tune he was running. Flashed the KDMax 10.0 with the “normal” throttle setting. Night and day difference with the newest iteration of KDMax. The acceleration he was looking for was now there. The message from Frank after he drove home, “Drove lie it should. Such an improvement.”

In addition to getting these trucks running like they should, the people you meet are really great. Frank was another one of those people. We sat and talked about his build, where he had it done, the relationships you can develop. Our professional lives run in similar circles and we’ve had the opportunities to visit many locales as each other. Really nice time just talking to with him today.

We can talk about horsepower, torque and dyno charts all day long, but putting the drivability into these Tacomas is what it’s all about. IT will likely not help my wallet in the fact that he had many of the mods on my wishlist.

Just wanted to drop a note from a long time customer of KDMax tuning group. Have had V10.0 since it's release, still very happy with the results, driveability, performance, pedal feel, and acceleration. Follow up.
So, zero hiccups with this tune.
Drives like should.
Have several thousand on it. 3,+ highway(Mass to Miami and back).
5th or 6th the whole time. Only times it hit 4th, I would expect that type of shift in almost any truck/van.
Every day driveability is... perfect.
Overall mileage, that took a hit(heavy pig) at this point).
But, I don't care, I actually enjoy driving it now(as much as I can without a 3rd pedal).
So, I'm happy.

Rob was in the Albany area from his home in Kingston and reach out to see if we could connect to get his 2020 Tacoma TRD Pro tuned, so I made some time to meet him. As with many 3GT owners, the erratic shifting of his truck was driving him nuts, and his experience tuning his bikes suggested there was something that could be done about it. So, down the tuning rabbit hole he went, eventually leading him to KDMax and me!

Given the all-stock nature of Rob's truck, I started him with our "Lite" throttle option and sent on an initial test drive. The improvements were immediately apparent to him, but he wanted just a little more out of the throttle, so I bumped him to our "Normal" throttle tip-in. This was the sweet spot!

Appointments are preferred. Please message us here or call/text 518-742-9332 to reserve your spot. A $50 non-refundable deposit will be required for reservation. This fee will be deducted from the cost of your tuning service on the day of the event. We need a minimum of three commits for this event - if this does not happen, any collected deposits will be refunded in full.

I started with the KDMax team as a customer, seeking service for my own 2019 Tacoma.
