    805 Tacoma Tuning and Darin tagged up this week despite the heavy winds to set his awesome 2020 4Runner up with a KDMAX Pro tune.

    We had the pleasure of meeting Darin at the 1st ever TrailsonTap805 group event hosted by MadeWest Beer in Ventura last month.

    During initial conversations we noted that he had made some progress on his build and was using a Pedal Commander to help address the typical, non responsive throttle issues associated with these vehicles.

    With the Pedal Commander removed, we dialed his vehicle in with a KDMAX Pro tune and the Sport Throttle option, knowing that this is the Complete Solution!

    is Vftuner 1.7.5 available? I just updated vftuner and the version is 1.7.3.1 and the .STOCK tacoma 3.5 files are dated from 3/14/2022.

    VF Tuner 2.0 is for WiFlash Interface, only. If version 1.7.5 is waht you want, it can be downloaded from the same page (VF Tuner 1.7.X Legacy Interface). Download it and install over top of your existing 1.7.3.1.

    ECU Tune and Failed Emissions Testing Experience | Tacoma World

    Figured I'd share this here and spark some good conversation. Wondering if KD has any future plans to address these concerns for current/future customers, what solutions may be developed (or already in place), and costs associated with those solutions (if it is in fact a true concern/issue for some).

    FWIW, it won't affect me, just thought it'd be good convo for those who may encounter this in the years to come.

    There should not be any problems for customers or DIY remote customers.
    The stock files in VFtuner have been updated with the correct CVN (a couple missing will be updated), so there is no issue with flashing back to stock before emissions testing.

    Thats good to hear! Nice to know that the CVN mismatch issue is being addressed with VF and sounds like a 'back-to-stock' flash is the easiest/cheapest solution for those inspection times. That definitely seems like a good selling point for folks to go the DIY remote route (if they're subject to state inspections regularly). Glad I don't have to deal with that, but thought it may be an interesting and fitting topic for the thread. Thanks for the clarification!
