What about the guys that are self tuners that had previous version before (jan. 2023) the kdmax proXT. Then upgrade to the ($50-$100 dollar version 10.0) after Jan. 31? Are we qualified for the free upgrade

If I recall correctly, yours is AT, correct?
The information they put out is confusing.

Since you mentioned "momentum", do you see rpm drops in 2nd and 3rd due to torque converter lock solenoid engagement?
Kdmax has off in 3rd, 2nd was off as a default on B04 calibration. I drove latest bh 2.0 and it was stumbling on the acceleration.

@Vlady there are indeed updated files available that correct the issues we were seeing with the 3GT A/T 3.5L. If you need them, drop an email to YotaWerxTuning@gmail.com and they will get them for you! Sorry for any confusion that might have arisen during the communication process.

Dane, let me share my thoughts on the YW tune as it relates to the KDMax offerings. In my opinion, which is subjective of course, I like the YW BH2 offering more than I liked the KD offering. Don't get me wrong. They are both great tunes, but IMO the YW offering provides a little more low-end power and smoother acceleration curve. The throttle mapping is a bit of a different flavor too, and therefore has a bit of different feel. In conversation with one of the YW devs, Kevin, he commented that he was aiming to create a feel similar to what we knew in the days of cable-controlled throttles, and I think he did a good job of that!

Obviously, as a tuner (and formerly a DIY customer), I have the option to run either on my truck, and I choose to run the BH2.1 offering, if that helps validate my thoughts on how the 2 compare at all. They're both great tunes, but I just like the YW offering a little more!

Big shout out to my Friend and Tuner Wahoobie for getting me updated to the new Blackhawk tune. So far I'm extremely impressed like I was when I got the KDMAX 10. I have been on every KDMAX tune they had and all were great, just got better as time went on. Now the BH tune is smoother in acceleration and shifts are spot on. I need some more time for the tune to settle but my MPGs went up on the short drive home from the Wahoobie's home. I also loved the feel of the pedal and its very refined but gives you the power when needed and the downshift are a lot soother than ever. It fits me very well as I don't heavy foot it but when I do I want it to go, so the power is there and the torque is there as well but comes on sooner.

@Yoda_Mike I just sent you and email with my info to get updated files.

The old KDMax tune was setup to run 85-95 octane. Is the BH2.1 tune setup the same way?

Maxx, the email will be handled by Marc (@mZiggy) from YotaWerx. He will be the one to get you the files.

The BH2.1 tune is octane learning, just like KDMax was, but we do have a premium version of the tune as well. It requires a minimum 91 octane and supports mixes all the way to E30 (an 80/20 blend of 93 and E85 if I recall correctly). The YW devs were able to advance the ignition timing a bit more on this variation of the tune to get a bit more power out of it. I only run high octane in my truck (I have since before YW acquired KD) so I run the premium tune on my truck and I really like it! There is a noticeable difference between the regular tune and the premium on 93 octane. It’s not huge but there’s clearly a bit more power there. Unfortunately, I don’t have e85 anywhere near me to push it all the way to an e30 blend or I’d give a try!

@Yoda_Mike Good to know. I only run 91 and like to add octane booster when I tow so both would be nice to try. I do prefer the option to put 87 in an emergency so we’ll see.

@mZiggy I’m looking forward to hearing from you. You probably remember me as the guy who had to fight with you for a refund a while back. Hopefully that can be behind us and we can play nice moving forward.

    Thanks guys!

I don't recall the details of what you're referring to, nor who you are; perhaps you spoke with my business partner. Regardless of whom you spoke to though, there are people out there who feel that they are entitled to more than is reasonable where refunds are concerned, particularly when digital product is involved.

Making a comment like that is not conducive to a smooth continuation of business between us, if that's what you want. If you are looking to kick things off with unnecessary friction, you certainly chose the right way to begin going about it.

I see your email and I will get to it as soon as possible.

Thank you for your time and your antagonizing contribution to this thread.

That's okay, because as you were informed a few days ago, you've been making comparisons on a file set that is obsolete and therefore irrelevant for review.

As Mike noted, you are more than welcome to reach out for the BH2.1 files.

Has anybody else had the chance to flash BH2.1? With an auto?

I am really enjoying the tune (BH2.1 - AD) so far, like I said in my earlier post it PULLS good through the gears but I've noticed a quirk that happens I think in gears 1-2. Seems like sometimes it has an odd "stumble" of sorts, sometimes it feels great. Wondering if anybody else has experienced that.

I'm getting setup to log data to get a better idea of what's going on in my case.

Other than that quirk that I am experiencing, pretty solid so far! Happy coming from a different tune.
