Like you just said, you know what you’re talking about, so go build your own tune. You probably have no fucking idea what it takes to build one.

I'm not sure what your role is, but please stop telling customers to reset learning values and run 2-3-4-5 tanks of gas. All flaws are set in the tables

That’s what I thought. Stuff you learned from fusion.

You have no fucking clue what it takes to run a business such as a tuning network, AND then have the sack to announce it on TW AND further more make sure it’s not going to destroy a high dollar motor. You bitch about YW not building a tune correctly several posts back.

Big Papa and Dave built a very good tune. High respect to them. Now to orchestrate a large group for the 2.1 tune is a stressful massive job and a different game, hence the greatness of the tune so far. I can only imagine while having to tend to customers how crazy it can get.

YotaWerx has a special tune, and you know it. So stop blowing smoke up your ass and give them time to iron shit out.

    Later Days!

In regards to the issues I had been having after having KDmax tune in my 2007 4.0 auto. I got with McBautotech and he flashed a YotaWerx tune that has resolved the cruise control surging and acceleration issues that I was experiencing. He met with me on a Sunday afternoon on my drive from work in Pearsall Tx towards Southern Louisiana. That was 2 weeks ago. Since then I've hauled my 10' trailer with mowers and lumber as well as my 16' trailer with car bodies. Plenty of town driving as well as my drive back to Tx, over 1k miles of testing.
Thank you all for the assistance to get this taken care of.

Thank you. I will reach out to him. Meanwhile... does anyone have any direct comparison data for the new Blackhawk 2.1 vs. KDMAX Pro (Sport)? The engineer in me loves data. Thx.

Man, this thread has really taken a turn since the transition. How long before tuning vendors get the same shaft LED vendors got long ago? Seems like every tuning thread ends up getting shut down because vendors can't be respectful, play by the rules, and fanbois can't see anything except the product they're choking on constantly.

YotaWerx Blackhawk 2.0 tuned. Typer Auto tail light guards. Rough Country tri-fold tonneau cover. Start-X remote starter. Injen CAI. MBPR Armor Plus high clearance exhaust.
I can't provide any data (other than the already published dyno sheets from each company) but I can say there is a distinct difference between the KDMP and YW offerings. Both are great tunes, but I find myself preferring the YW Blackhawk tune. It's a bit torquier in the low-end, with firmer shift points and a strong, smooth acceleration curve. The throttle mapping is done a bit different as well. Both provide great response, but in discussions with the primary YW developer of the 3GT tune, he said he was aiming to produce a throttle response that really simulates the cable driven throttle from days of old, and I would say he did a damn good job of that! I very much enjoy driving my truck with the Blackhawk tune, and the feedback I've gotten from those I switched from KDMP seems to be much the same.

Small lift, slightly oversized tires, well...
It's pretty much 1 person that can't find his way to a solution to the problem he has, even though he's been guided...you can lead a horse to water, but you can't make him drink.

@jjglass535 Hey John, how did todays test run do for you with Blackhawk 2.1's "WW"? I know it's a fresh update but having been a long-term owner using tunes I really respect any feedback you have in contrast to anything before it!

I only went for a short ride but it was very noticeable in a good way. Acceleration is quick and smooth. I’ll give it a few miles and a highway drive this weekend.

yw did end up getting me that rpm mod tune after which i appreciate. have about 700km on it and the previous file. have my own vf software and have switched between 4 different tunes now. my final thoughts is that it has the bottom end of ott and top end of kdmax but honestly ive never noticed a big power gain from either tune and comparing them is super close. my truck is a manual so i dont see the major gains of controlling that auto trans that made these tunes so popular. it is drastically different than my kdmax from tip in. i actually ended up stalling the truck a few times just getting used to how mellow it is initially. running the active duty tune and do wish there was more throttle response but it should be great for most people and i may get used to it. it has gotten a consistent 2 liters per 100km (2.5mpg) better than the kdmax tune. which i should add was a tweaked tune and max throttle response. I will continue to run this tune for the time being and see if it improves more. as it is now. good tune.

I do find it interesting that I've had a fairly equal split of MT owners prefer the WW throttle for their stock/mild setups while others are AD....and in your case you want even more. It's just another example that everyone (and perhaps to a degree each truck) has factors in what they are looking for. Great to hear you are seeing good results on the MPGs for your driving....on my AT I continue to be impressed getting 20-22 on the hwy which was as good as I have ever seen before the AT tires and small lift (and poor stock calibration).

currently at 11.9l/100km (19.8mpg) on a manual with 4" lift and 33s. this is actually what it did bone stock. not actually sure how thats possible. that did include quite a few highway pulls to redline driving across the province at 3am to catch a flight since the water pump on my daily driver went on me.

I'd like to try this new BH tune but like many others that self tunes. We don't want to fork out another 100 for a tune pack. Now I have to find my original tuner just so he can tune me over even tho I have my own vftuner.
