Nice, you’ll miss the Jeep Safari chaos, but you’ll still hit the spring madness. Depending on time of day, road construction at the north end of Moab adds 1-2 hours to your drive, plan accordingly both entering and leaving.

This tune is the real deal... So well refined. I drove the previous version on my truck for 1,000 miles and it felt great, but this final version is the best the truck has ever felt.

My gf didn’t know I retuned my truck and borrowed it today and said why is your truck driving so much better... it feels like it’s supercharged or something I barely had to tap the gas to get to speed. She had to keep checking the spedo cause she kept speeding lol. Thanks Kreg!

I wrote to @PapaRee already and this just a copy/paste.
I drove a few versions of Kreg's tunes and ,honestly, did not like the "single" opt torque map.
I had abrupt 2-3-4 upshifting and lazy 4-5.
Next iteration fixed 2-3-4 upshift, but 4-5 went from lazy to abrupt at the heavy acceleratoration and I always felt 5th upshift with my bottoms.
    This afternoon I flashed 6.0 normal tip-in
4-5 upshift on 6.0 has improved for me. Seems smoothed out compared to 4.0 and less jerky. 2-3-4 upshift is smooth. Previously, I mentioned to Kreg the dead pedal in 5th on 4.0 version. I had to select S mode to force downshift to 4th at the base of the hill. Example of tuning to hold gears longer.
I went the same route on 6.0 and had a prompt downshift to 4th. However, I was 12 kph(8 mph) below the previous speed. I need to test more.
Also, I'd like to decrease 4-3 downshift speeds. On 4.0 it was downshifting too early at 0 accelerator. Dropping speed before the turn would cause a downshift to 3rd at a bit higher speed for my liking -rough ride.
I did not experience on 6.0 and would need to drive more to see if it still there.

Otherwise, it is pretty smooth tune. I did 32 miles circle, including a stretch over 1300 feet tall hump. I was staying in 4th and pushing 75 mph for 2-3 miles over the hump @3100 rpms + a 10 mile stretch driving 80.
    I got 18.7 mpg.
There are few small adjustments I would personally make to suit my needs like 4-5 upshift, 4-3 downshift, but overall it is improved tune.

The changes in Vftuner--torque maps, airload maps, up and downshifts, throttle, etc. are all pieces of the puzzle that have to be put in the right place. Having 15-20 testers driving different year and different tires/gears- really helped me to get the puzzle assembled the best that I could.
Every little change affects so many things. That's why it takes so many versions to get it right.
We would think "this is it", then the next day someone would find something that changed--even when I did not change it. It was a long process, and I am sure that there is still more that could be optimized, but at some point you get where you feel any more changes will take away something good.

I am thankful that we were able to make this tune as good as it is. The monitoring with OBD fusion also shows that the temps, KCLV, Knock f/b, misfires. etc., all are within normal limits with aggressive driving and different terrains and cllimates.

My folks ranch is a short drive from Naturita, CO. Not much there besides a few dispensaries and a solid liquor store.

For me, so far so good. All parameters appear to respond how I'd like them to. Freeway driving is much more enjoyable. Got a trip to Colorado planned on Sunday, so we'll be givin her the royal treatment

Forgot to mention the pull in 4th gear while on the incline.
I have not had a chance yet on 6.0, but on previous versions it was a blast.
The 5th gear is maxing out between 2400-2500 rpms on Kreg's. Which is plenty to maintain on flat, somewhat moderate hills in normal traffic flow. But on a few miles long inclines you will start falling behind if not promptly downshifting to 4th.
    1. Downshift is smooth and doesn't go past 3100. We all hate downshift to 4th back in the day, but I would prefer to have an early downshift before maxing out @ 5th. Which i do by using S Mode.
    2. Once in 4th, just step on it and it will go like a mad dog. I had an encounter with 4TR on incline. He was 1/2 length in front, but lost by more than 5 once 4th kicked in.

I think the power delivery in 4th could be polished a bit. It feels a "step" like increase. Perhaps adding additional columns for angles between 20-40 range will help to smooth gaps.

I think I have the light tip throttle setting now. I tried the other setting at first which wasn't enough then changed to the more aggressive one the next day. I would like to see it not so touchy, but its still nice. I drove a little more on the tune yesterday and was seeing 18 to 19 if I kept my foot out of it. Shift points are on point, smooth and crisp and down shifting is the same. I have had a few other tunes and this one is almost near perfect. I'm running a TRD CAI and the Pro exhaust with 93 octane fuel. I'm loving it is all I can say!!!

When you say the regular throttle wasn’t enough, what is the difference you find between regular tip in and light tip in? For some reason I thought the LT would be the less aggressive so I flashed it. After a bit of driving I’m thinking that regular would be the one I want (comparing to a previous tune).
