Do you know for sure if the latest version, 1.6.8.72922, is bad for all or only in your circumstance? Did you download and overlay the latest or attempt to update from inside the previous version?

I used the updater in the program. Couldn't work for me . So attempted just a fresh install with most up to date download link from vf and still the same problem

The soft was/is problematic since 1.05. Put it on the exception list and forget about it. The soft is throwing errors left and right. I had to update to "newer" version cause it gave me a license error.... with available internet and ability to download the new file.

Thanks, using the updater may have f’d something up with your installation. I heard from @TWTaco and @mZiggy who had no problem with the download overlay. I was wanting to know if it was a Mat problem or just affected you before I went ahead and got it.

    Oh man…
I’m on sport throttle and the truck is very tame in 4L. I don’t have to use as much throttle either because of the added torque. It crawls up rocks SO much better now. It’s just better all around, street or off road. You definitely won’t be disappointed!

Took my Tacoma camping this weekend pulling over 3K lbs (trailer, 2 ATVs, my bed loaded full and a RTT). Needless to say I didn’t push the truck hard to save gas. The engine and transmission performed flawlessly up steep grades (4300 ft in 16 miles), winding mountain roads and freeways. At no time did I feel i didn’t have enough pedal. After a ~450 mile round trip, I averaged 13.1 mpg.

    The KDMAX-PRO+XT tune is legit.

I am interested in the whole concept of these "tunes", but still do not have the truck yet. :ballchain:
These tunes are made via the ODBII connector with specialized software?
Would it void an owner's warranty?:duel:
Would it be over-written by some TSB that the dealership might install?
Is there a good website to go and learn more?
Thanks in advance for an explanation for this newbie.

Not around my laptop with vftuner installed on it at the moment, but I updated through the software yesterday when it notified me of a new update available. Noticed later after reading this thread the update link on the vftune website is newer than what the software prompted me to update to. Any idea on why the software wouldn’t check for the very latest update? Last time I updated through the site download link I had to uninstall the old version so I was just curious. Thnx

I downloaded the installer for version 1.6.8.72922 from vftuner.com and it the software shows version 1.6.8.65535 as what installed. Any ideas on what would cause this? Thanks
