Hi I’m new here and I think I’m getting a 2022 SR5 soon. I want to do the KDMax tune on it. I also plan on getting my maintenance done at a dealership until the 25k mile service. How would that process work with the tune? Do I have to remove the tune every time I service the truck? Should I even tune it? Thank you!

If they are a seasoned tech they will prob. know when they drive it. KDMax Pro has a good torque tip in that obviously different than stock. If your are getting an oil change, tires rotated, basic stuff, they won't know. Other than that they would need to look if they are diagnosing the ECU. Technically yes, they will be able to tell.

Yes, you should tune it, KDMax Pro is a great tune that makes a noticeable difference.

Dealership (especially lube techs) doesn't care. Your truck will be one of 30 vehicles each tech sees each day, from Prius minivans to Supras. Oil comes from one of two hoses connected to bulk storage tanks.
