Just a quick question have you thought about trading the truck in for a good horse? I’m sure it would get less flats probably even better gas mileage plus his shifting would be better and his frame probably won’t rust out.:boink:

Have you ever gone 300 miles in a vehicle with 1 horsepower? Also… is rust still an issue!

I know they’re aren’t KO2’s, but with my E load Grabbers I averaged 23-24 MPGs on my last road trip. Just throwin’ it out there for the OP’s consideration.

Im not saying Grabbers are better, just that you can still get good MPGs with E rated tires.

I'm not going to read all responses. But I will say that E tires are not a cure all. I recently had a spear shaped rock (1.5" exposed, .5" at the tip, 2" long) imbed itself in the dead center of my E tire and cause it to go flat. Rock was still wedged in when I took it in to get fixed. My driving is on forest service roads.
A higher range tire will reduce the frequency, but you can still puncture them .
Your best bet would be to upgrade your tires a bit and build & carry a repair kit with plugs and a compressor. I personally suggest building an on-board air system with a quick connect at the back bumper (can fill tires on truck and trailer). This will allow you to reduce pressure off-road and the refill before you get on the road.

once I upgrade to C or E load, air down, and also inspect all my trails for sharp ground cover, I’ll be in good shape - super helpful thanks everyone

I’m thinking to get the ARB compressor that I can bolt down into the engine bay.
