Keep or Remove the Vinyl??

Bought the truck with vinyl on and still undecided if I like it or not. I don’t see a lot of Tacos where I’m at in Fort Worth that have anything like it. Reaching out to see how hard it would be to remove them and what should I expect once they are removed. Paint chips or damage from adhesive? I have no idea and not too familiar with this.

 

I like it, I say keep it on.

 

I kind of like it, its personal preference though. I am on the hunt for unique vinyl myself. Shouldnt be hard to peel off, lots of videos on youtube that go into detail. I removed my trd offroad one without issue.

Couldnt you just get some 3m vinyl from Amazon and do it yourself? Not you personally but isn't that an easy thing to do?

 

Personally? I'd remove it. However, it does make it unique and easy to find in a parking lot. White Tacoma's aren't exactly uncommon.

 

I'd remove it. I haven't been into stickers since elementary school.

Do you know how long it's been on? Removing could mean paint mismatch due to sun fading. I removed the TRD sticker on the bed and you can can still faintly see the lettering. Though mine is MGM, you may have different results.

 

I’ll have to look into that. If I’m going to keep it I guess I can add a little touch to it. I’ve watched some videos on it but I have no idea what quality it is and figure out the timeframe that it would start to fade and crack. I just need to figure out what I want first. I did see where it says that after so many years it does tend to have a more tedious process to remove them.

 

Im assuming a little over a year. It was purchased in March 2019 and I bought it last month.

3rd gens are just Trapper Keepers, so this is a valid application.

Take it off I have seen one similar to yours but it was trd stuff it looked good . Hell if you like it that’s all that matters .

Lesson learned in the process is if you bring a heat gun out, then use the heat gun.

Keep it at least for a while if it doesn't grow on you then take it off
